1968 Porsche 912!! Sold new on May 28th 1968 at Ray Ely Volkswagen in Oakland, California.Original owner maintained this Beauty till 2006 when he sold to 2nd owner. There is a Treasure Trove of Original paper work dating back to 1968! Including Original window sticker, Bill of Sale, Registrations and the list goes on and on... Very Original 1968 912 SWB Coupe!! This car looks to retain some original Grand Prix White paint but may have had some repainted areas. The body is rust free and shows no signs of accidents. The 1968 was the only year of the side markers. All the chrome and trim on the car are in beautiful condition and shows very nice which you would expect from a California car. Originally came with Chrome plated wheels. However like many Owners did back in the day they added the Fuchs Wheels to give it that 911 Look. It looks so good going down the road that people can't help but stop and stare. The Original matching engine is mated to the Original optional 5-speed Transmission. The original Very Rare California emissions is intact and present. Most of these were taken off and disposed of. The tranny shifts and runs smoothly through all the gears. All gauges, lights, turn signals work the way they should. This car runs and drives great and is a true blast to drive!! The interior Black looks very original the door panels look amazing although the driver side pocket needs new elastic. The seats look new along with the dash. The gauges are bright and very clean. Original rubber mats. The clocks time is correct twice a day haha...The radio is also not working. This would be an easy restoration car but I would enjoy for many years the way it is. Also the pan is solid and rust free and very original. The car was sold to the second owner in 2006 and still has the California title and matching plates. All in all, these early Porsche 912's are one of the most sought after Classic's on the market today! With great looks and huge collect-ability, this would be a wonderful opportunity for someone to not only have a part of history but an appreciating Asset!!
