Vehicle Detail

Up for auction, this is a well preserved 1989 BMW 750IL. These were the top of the line for the 7 series in their day and are still quite a fast, stylish sedan. This one is in Bronzit beige metallic with a tobacco brown colored interior. the cosmetics of the car are nice, with intact paint and a nice interior. There are a few dings and a scuff with paint chip near the front driver's side corner. Overall the body is very straight. The car runs very nicely. The engine runs smooth and pulls strongly and the transmission shifts well. No slips or hard shifts. The suspension is in good overall condition with the rear self-leveling intact. It has a little bounce to the rear shocks, but considerably less than some other E32's I have driven which have gotten very stiff. There is a bit of wear to the front bushings with the classic BMW 50MPH vibration. Thrust arm bushings would be the most likely cause. The ride is quiet with no significant squeaks or rattle and brakes work well. The car comes with period 3 piece BBS wheels (RS) in good condition. Mostly absent of curb rash except for one. Tires are Michelin with a good amount of tread remaining. Interior condition is outstanding for the age. Seats, carpet, door panels and headliner are all intact with minimal amount of wear. Power options work well and AC blows cold. It is a pretty striking color combination with the champagne exterior and dark brown interior. We have not gotten the car smogged, so CA buyer's should be aware that it may take some work. There were codes present for oxygen sensors and air fuel mixture. We replaced both sensors with OEM Bosch units but still have a mixture code. It has been stated most probably due to vacuum leaks by our mechanic. We have also replaced the radiator. Please email with any questions.
