Vehicle Detail

This car was found at a junk yard in Colorado. It was still running but was just looking old. A friend of mine and I have built the car up little by little over several years to what you see today. It is still not perfect and still needs some things but it turns heads everywhere. I have a couple trophies from local shows. The air conditioner has a leak so it currently will not cool. Last time I charged it, it lasted about 2 hours. All 4 tires are new with just a few hundred miles on them. The original intake and carb will go with the car along with whatever spare parts or new parts I have not yet put on. It was changed from a 2 barrel to a 4 in 2011. Unless new, unused parts were not to be found, anything I had repaired was with new parts. I have had the car since 2006 but as a single person, I do not have space or time for the 6 vehicles I currently own. The Newport has been in a garage since I bought it. It comes out only in good weather and on average is driven at least once a month. The dash pad has 2 cracks in it and the buttons that control the heater/defroster/A/C stick. The radio works but will not stay on station. There is an amplifier under the driver's seat that powers two rear hidden speakers. Plug the jack into an iPod or other similar item with a small headset jack and the music comes out the speakers. NOTE: The car currently will not start. It has gone through 2 electronic ignition modules in the last month so there is a short somewhere. I have neither the time or money to try to find it. Car is for sale as is located in southeastern KY. Previous buyer has not come to get the car in 2 months so it is being relisted. However if previous buyer provides full purchase price (plus storage fees), listing will end immediately. On Jul-15-13 at 01:56:51 PDT, seller added the following information: A couple people noticed some of the pictures are old. I've added a couple recent pictures so you can see the car has not changed. On Oct-06-13 at 05:06:35 PDT, seller added the following information: Once auction reaches reserve amount, previous buyer loses the option to buy and is in competition with everyone else. Again, I have had questions about the current look of the car since some of the pictures were from 2009. The last few pictures where the car is on grass, were taken this past July. The car has not changed, as you can see by the pictures, since 2009, other than developing cracks in the dash pad. Someone good with cars could probably fix the pad and the electrical short (possibly alternator issue, voltage regulator has been replaced) for under $500 and flip this car for at least $1,000 more. Again, I just don't have the money considering my other projects. Anyone coming to see the car, I can turn the engine over for you, it just won't fire.
