Vehicle Detail

Overall a solid car in good condition. Engine and transmission work flawlessly. No smoke from the exhaust or burning any oil. Does not leak a drop and all suspension components feel great. Interior is in good shape with minor wear and tear normal of a car this age with this many miles. Carpet is very clean with no stains even in the cargo area. A/C is ice cold and hasn't ever needed to be recharged since I have owned it. The W8 wagon is a rare car (only 1,227 of them sold in the US. This car was a test bed for VW's "W" engine platform, which found its way to the Bugatti Veyron) and comes fully optioned and is to be considered a luxury car. It was Volkswagen's flagship car before the Phaeton was released. Memory seats, 4-motion AWD system, automatic climate control, wood grain trim, and other options are all included. It rides and drives great and is nice and quiet inside on the highway. The mufflers have been removed and straight pipes have been put in their place, giving it an exotic exhaust note that sounds nice, but isn't too loud. No check engine lights or anything on the dash, however there is a brake sensor light (the pads have been replaced, the sensors just haven't been hooked up). No rust and the paint presents well (shows evidence of paintwork on the rear arches, however the match is great). The front and rear bumpers have some bumps and bruises on them (refer to pictures) but everything else is in pretty good shape. BBS wheels (could use refinishing) with tires that have less than 2,000 miles on them, new wiper blades, front CV axles have been replaced (they creak and crack sometimes), factory all-weather floor mats, new OEM HID bulbs, OEM Bosch battery less than 2 years old, Alpine IVA-NAV-1 touch screen headunit with DVD and navigation. The car just needs a little love to be a great car. I just don't have the time for it. There are some cosmetic issues here and there but for the most part it is good to go and has been daily driven for the past year and half and I would trust it to take me anywhere. Issues that could use some attention:- Needs to be jumped after a few days of not driving. Haven't really diagnosed what it could be.- Crack in coolant reservoir. Have to add coolant every few weeks- There is a noise that comes from beneath the car when under heavy acceleration from a stand still. I believe this is transmission mounts as the transmission works flawlessly otherwise.- Hood shock does not work This is a true no reserve auction. I have it listed elsewhere so I reserve the right to end it whenever I would like to. Please contact me with any questions you may have.
