It is very hard to even find pieces to these trucks, let alone find a whole truck, and one that runs and drives. This truck is currently in “rat rod” form. It does have dings, dents, and rust. This is NOT a show truck by any means and has not been restored. It has been left in its “original” condition for the most part as far as the body goes. The drive train is a different story that I will explain further in depth. The idea of this truck is that you have an old original looking truck that has been lowered and that runs and drives. A lot of people confuse a “rat rod” with a rolling chassis. Simply, this is an old looking truck that runs and drives. You cannot pull this truck out of the driveway without someone asking you question about it or people taking pictures of it. It is an absolute blast to own and drive. These trucks came from the factory as a solid straight axle. People starting putting Chevrolet front ends under them which made them able to be “slammed” (lowered) and achieve greater speeds with comfort and stability. This truck has a 1970’s model Chevrolet Nova front end conversion already in place (most shops will not even start this conversion for anything less than $5,000). It has Chevrolet drum brakes all the way around that work very well. Also, the truck is converted to a Chevrolet 5 lug. Therefore, this truck is simply a Ford F100 body on a Chevrolet chassis. This is a very expensive and timely conversion to do, but it makes for a much better ride and a very cool truck. The sticker on the back of the truck reads “Ford Built It, Chevy Shakes It.” With that being said, below you will find a list of what else makes this truck so desirable besides the fact it is a 1955 Ford F100! - CLEAN and CLEAR TITLE IN HAND - VIN: F10D5N13530 (matches tag inside glove box) - Rear Lowering Blocks - Chevrolet 350 V8 Engine (very low miles) - Chevrolet Turbo 350 Transmission (very low miles) - Aftermarket Camshaft - Holley Aluminum High Rise Intake Manifold - Holley 600CFM Double Pump Carburetor - Long Tube Headers - Full Dual Flowmaster Exhaust (Turndowns on each side before the rear tire) - Brand New Aluminum Radiator - Brand New K&N Air Filter - Hidden Battery Tray in Floor Board - Floor Board made of Street Signs - Newer 15” Mag Wheels - Almost New Tires - Power Steering (works perfectly) - Pioneer CD Player (mounted in ammo box) - Custom Ammo Box for CD Player and Speakers - Updated Fuse Panel - Fuel Cell Mounted in Bed - Runs and Drives GREAT! - Valvoline Synthetic Fluids Bumper to Bumper - Sits about 1-2 inches off the ground - Wooden Bed - Wire Tailgate - Hood latches and works well - Horn works great - All exterior lights work as they should - Working turn signals and headlights - Bench seat in great shape - All glass is present - Door windows roll up and down - Alignment was performed on 9/12/2013 - New Wheel Bearings - Three aftermarket gauges mounted in gauge pod - Theft switches (prevents people from being able to hot wire the truck and steal it) - Two Driver Side Mirrors - Original speedometer in place - Aftermarket steering wheel - Original heater in place - MUST SEE IN PERSON! I know I am forgetting a few things, but I have done my best to list everything that this truck has or includes. You will be very pleased with the attention it gets while being driven. There are endless possibilities with this truck. You could literally leave it exactly as it sits and drive it for years. You could invest thousands in order to make it the fully restored piece of history. You could install your choice of replacement parts to have the truck meet your preferences. The list goes on and on forever. This is a 1955 Ford F100 PICKUP TRUCK! There is no other truck like it, and it is by far the coolest vehicle I have ever owned.
