Fun with the top and doors off (made user friendly). Always started with a fresh battery, never had a problem with starting, running, getting us anywhere and 22R, 22RE engines are 1 of the top 3 engines ever built. 187K miles when we bought it, fresh engine put in about 194K. When we worked on it we tried to improve, upgrade, fix it better than before. It has character, extremely safe for 16 yrs. old, perfect for young driver (roll cage, Iron bumpers, front, back, sides), a group of unique individuals wanting a expedition vehicle who loves the outdoors, or to be towed behind anything.This has been my first Gen. 1, 4Runner project about since 1997. We planned on keeping this forever, trying to sell, before we change our minds. This off road adventure rig is one of the most sought after 4wd vehicles worldwide. This 4Runner truck is always getting looks, comments, double takes, questions anywhere we go. People always admire its uniqueness, toughness and ruggedness. Nothing else like this on the road. A lot of work has been put into this 4Runner. Whatever small weakness it has, it has overwhelming strengths in those that count. It would easily do cross country trips, or be a reliable every day vehicle. Never any overexerting the vehicle, normal driving and off-roading on sand mostly. It goes down the road straight, no wandering, shimmies, and does 70-80 + no vibration at all. READY FOR FUN, TRAVEL, DAILY DRIVER. Comes with 4 books, mechanics dealership book, Haynes book, Toyota bible book 1958-96 by Moses Ladel and owners manual. Add-ons, Hand crafted modifications, Custom-built Armour. Custom built hand crafted (welding, bolted up) to the frame, front Bull Bars bumper, side tubes, back air Tank holds over 100 psi (comes with 8' rubber air hose), bike rack, towing package front and rear. It can tow a small RV or boat, and/or it can be towed by another vehicle. Alot of Miles on vehicle have come from being towed behind another. 2 extra Nitrous Temperature gauges to from radiator [top] and engine [bottom] added protection motor. Never been hot, in wreck, no water damage inside. Removable Roof Rack for surfing boards, kayak, construction rack, wind surfers.Removable ‘Camper' Top and still use the Roof Rack.2 doors removable.Removable Sun Roof. 3000 pds winch with wireless remote. Warn Front Lockers (Locking hubs). Off-road lights 8 total front, underneath, back.Needs relays for all 8 to work. Installing in air compressor, put air ride suspension would be sweet. Steering. 100%.Power Steering .5% leak/Tilted steering wheel.Greased all (12) points regularly.It goes down the road straight, no wandering, shimmies, or vibrations at all.Rubber 95%.Replaced, Pitman Arm, All Left/Right Tie Rod, Idler Arm Bracket at 250K.Front bearings greased 199K. Brakes.Brakes front 50%, Back Brand new 100%.Bleed out 100% brakes 210K, clutch 220K. Tires.Front 50%. needs 2 newer tires. 32 /11.5/ 15R.Back 95%. Maintenance.Regularly. Lubrication 100%. Brakes, clutch, power steering, antifreeze, transfer case, transmission, front back differentials, engine.Overall leaks anywhere .5-3-% most at zero 0. Please remember, this is a 26 year old vehicle and it will have it's minor, medium scratches dents, gouges, welding run off, etc plus every day imperfections, but it is in excellent condition for it's age. Never been hot, in a wreck, no water damage inside or outside.Throttle position sensor unplugged from Intake EFI, runs, idles perfect.Power Steering .5% leak.A/C has worked fine, lose coupling leaked out, was in process to fix. Took off A/C compressor and capped off lines.Parking brake cable, have fix or get new cable.Passenger door window up issue, down is ok, works on drivers side. Issue Drivers side door opening switch for interior lights. Know the issue.Back windshield wipers needs switch have 2 switches that might work, blades, motor is good.Lower ball joint issue drivers side works fine holds grease no cracks in rubber on any other ball joints.Body roughness 5% usual rust around fender, tar on inside expanding foam has stopped 99%. Yes scratches, dents, gouges, welding run off, etc.With these type of vehicles I have experienced when you excessively overstate cleaning used parts, fixing, repairing, maintenance, its done and gives no hassle. The engine, transmission and transfer case alone could go for over $3500 and that's not including all the upgrades, hand crafted welding, etc. Removable Car top is worth $2000.
