Before I begin, I apologize, but once again the Ebay robot will not accept this VIN as being a 1984 and I had to indicate '1980' in order to input the real VIN number in the ad, but let me be clear, this truck is indeed a 1984! Hello there, Land Rover enthusiasts/ aspiring owners: Thank you for viewing this ad for my 1984 turbo diesel Range Rover 4-door Classic. Now, onto the truck for sale here: 1984 Range Rover Classic, which I legally imported from the UK several months ago. 16,000 miles showing on the clocks, believed to be 116000. I do have this truck currently titled and registered here in Oregon. As of now, this is my daily driver - It is a blast to drive, and economical, returning between 30-35 MPG consistently. I would not hesitate to hop in and drive this truck anywhere, right now. Truck looks great and runs/ drives/ stops as it should. Alot of power and torque from the 2.8L Isuzu turbo-diesel engine from a 1990s Trooper - Has only 60K on it, and runs like new. A bit of a cosmetic project though, could use paint some rust here and there (But nothing in the frame or structure) , very original other than engine and could use new carpets and seat covers of you want a show truck. Mechanically the only thing I can think of to complain about is that the gearbox can be difficult at times to get into fourth gear and out of fourth. As a result, I sometimes shift from 3rd to 5th if I am getting on the freeway. You do get used to shifting and can go into fourth, but it is not smooth like the other gears - If the high bidder likes, I can include an extra perfect transmission into the purchase price. Speedometer bounces around a bit under 25MPH - Is a cable drive and probably cable is going out. Other than this - I just put new pads in it and it runs great with no leaks! This Isuzu engine was professionally installed and has no leaks and no cutting or welding was done. Bolt-in swap. Body does have some rusty spots if you look carefully , mostly isolated to doors near window frames , or hidden inside where doors close. Rear inner wheel arches have some rust too ($40 new from rimmerbros (Who also supply all other panels and restoration parts at great prices) - Actual window frames themselves have some rust here and there too. I replaced the upper tailgate when I got it and it is not perfect. All windows EXCEPT for the front passenger side window work great. Truck does NOT have AC - never did have it from the factory. Tires are good. Seats are original and look nice. Headliner is torn in the back where the PO had a dog, which liked to scratch when he was left alone in the back! Hence the rare factory rear cargo area insert and dog guard. Rear door panels a bit scratched up too, but I am including a good used pair to replace if you choose to. I did not install them as it did not bother me enough. Paint was rubbed off the tailgate in places during its trip across the ocean in the container when a cardboard box scooted up against the back of the truck, otherwise truck is shiny and looks great from anywhere more than about 4 feet away. I became tired of the hassle with the Right Hand Drive finally - Especially with the passenger side window not working right now. I could probably get this fixed for you, but in the meantime I have bills to pay and another 5 Range Rovers to drive. The color on this truck is original 'Terra Cotta Red' - Which is actually a burnt red/ Orange. Looks great, I love to park it beside my avocado green RRC - They look great together on the street. I get thumbs up and looks wherever I go in this truck - And it is much more comfortable than a Defender 110, but has all the same off-road ability but you can adjust your seat and it is not noisy/ smelly and has more leg room. Much more comfortable as a daily driver. I am over Defenders. Selling all my parts - Check my other auctions. Let me know what else I can tell you, in short a great truck you can reliably use every day, that would benefit from a paint job and maybe some panel replacement if you want a show truck. I believe my price is very reasonable , if not an outright bargain, for this truck. My auctions do not usually ever make it to the end, with satisfied buyers (Please check my feedback!) , so I feel my prices are very realistic.
