I have up for sale, my 1989 Jaguar XJ6 in good physical condition, meaning that there is no rust, nor cracked windows or windshields. I have several photos of the actual car, taken from different angles and will be more than happy to provide them to a potential buyer via email. There are some light dings that would be expected of a car of this age. The seats are leather and in very good condition and the title is free and clear. BUT, I have to be honest and advise that it needs engine work. It is drivable, but a few weeks ago, I found gasoline mixed with the oil so with the exception of only a few short trips (less than 3 blocks) to work and back, I stopped driving it for fear of damaging the engine further. It might be an easy fix for somebody who knows what to do... or it might be an expensive fix and I do not have the money to put into something that could possibly be an engine rebuild. The rear shock absorber on the passenger side rear and the anti-lock braking system module also need replacing. For these reasons, I'm starting the bidding low. It is going to cost me in the neighborhood of approximately $2,500 - $3,500 to have these repairs done by a professional to get this classic back on the road, but for the right person who knows what they are doing, it would probably be much less. I've been told by my mechanic who specializes in foreign and exotic automobiles, that once these are done, the car will last a good 25 years more.
