This is my 97 Cobra. The original motor had a vortech supercharger on it and it broke a piston. After this happened I purchased a 5.4 dohc from a wrecked lincoln navigator with about 80k on it. This engine runs strong and fine. The car retains the factory T-45 transmission. The rear axle has a 4.10 ring and pinion in it. I have had no problems out of the rear or transmission. The car has a new heavy duty zoom clutch kit. Flywheel was resurfaced before installing. The fuel pump is from a Lincoln Aviator which some of you may know flows alot more than the factory cobra fuel pump. This was done when the supercharger was put on the car. I have had no problems from this either. The intake manifold is from sheet metal aluminum with a navigator lower intake. This car has Roush side skirts and exhaust tips on it. They dont make them anymore. They look great too. Car comes with a SCT SF3 handheld programmer. This car runs and drives fine but needs exhaust. This car needs exhaust put on it as the 4.6 exhaust would not fit due to the 5.4 being wider. The clear coat is peeling on the front and drivers side. The car will need a cowl hood or k member spacers to clear the factory hood. The interior is in pretty decent shape. No big rips or tears or anything like that. The car has tinted windows. I have the exhaust that came off the car but the front pipe will have to be widened to fit the 5.4. This car is being sold because I really just want something new to me. It is definately worth the price. I also have the stock 4.6 dohc that i will sell seperately if anyone wants it. It is a teksid block. Just to be clear I no longer have the supercharger. The approx cost of running new exhaust pipes is 300 with two 2.5 round magnaflow muflers.
