Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a beautiful XKE 2+2. I bought this with hopes of using it as an everyday driver. Unfortunately, I can no longer do the work and refuse to let it sit in the garage and gather dust. When I bought it, it had been sitting for a while. So I had the carbs rebuilt, the gas tank taken out, acid cleaned and sealed. The engine was tuned and the distributor converted to electronic ignition. The thermostat and most of the hoses were changed. I also put 2 new modern electric fans to keep it cool. I had the bumpers and overriders re-chromed. I changed a lot of the window and door seals. I just put 4 brand new Dunlop tires and new tubes on it. The car runs well. The front end needs some work as it all looks original. All the electrical seems to work with the exception of the horn. The interior is in good condition. The front seats have been redone in vinyl but the rear seats are still the original leather. The body has nice Willow Green paint that was done before I bought it. It could be a really nice driver without doing too much work. It comes with some brand new additional seals, some chrome pieces that were not installed and some of the paint that was used on the body. On Jul-01-13 at 05:02:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Because of the numerous emails I have gotten, I am adding some more info on what the car will need. What I have seen that the car needs is the 2 rear resonators on the exhaust are rotted. The suspension looks and feels ok. The front end definitely needs new rack boots as the old ones are deteriorated. The rest of the front end looks ok but old. The brakes will need to be looked at but it seems to stop ok. Again they're old. Engine and trans seem to be solid. No smoke or strange noises. It has a fresh paint job on it that was done before I bought it. It looks like the original color but there is some other color around the rear hatch. The only rust that I have seen is in the front of the floors there are some spots in the front corners. The wheel wells and the trunk seem solid. Unfortunately, I am away for the holiday until Friday but I am going to see if my friend can take some additional pictures of the engine and under the car. I hope this helps. Thanks On Jul-03-13 at 06:40:29 PDT, seller added the following information: I have just added some additional photos and a video of the engine running. Ebay wont let me put the link here so ask me a question and ill send it to you.
