Vehicle Detail
Gorgeous Vette. Fantastic paint, new carpet set, new custom upholstery. This is not your ordinary Corvette but a car that people take pictures of when you roll over the intersection. The Vette has hi-jackers in the back for shocks that you can adjust via air pressure. They have an air leak. The car comes with a brand new pair of hi-jackers, I think the brand is Monroe. The steering has become a little sloppy which is most noticeable at higher speeds, I would say above 65 mph. It has been like that for a while, it is really not that bad, but I already have a new idler arm in the box that needs to be installed. The right rear brake caliper started to leak very slowly last year. The mechanic said it might just be the hose to the caliper and replaced the hose first. But the same caliper needed to be bled again, so the caliper needs to be replaced after all. Since the leak is in the rear it does not affect the braking a whole lot. It stops fine but I wouldn't trust a emergency brake maneuver at this point and should be driven home carefully and of course at your own risk. It does not have a radio. It came like that. We could never make up our mind to put an original radio in or a modern one. The hook ups are all there and the speakers in the back as well. I drove the Vette all over Michigan last summer without any problems, even with the steering as it is. We owned her for about 6 years and she was a joy to drive and own. I believe she had switched hands within a family before we got her. We put a lot of money in it to make her look the way she does now. The insurance required an appraisal before they wanted to insure it and back then she was appraised at $18.000. The paint still has a mirror finish. There are by now a few minor flaws in the paint that are not very obvious and hard to photograph. But if you are interested, let me know and I'll try to get some pics of them. She sounds amazing. Not loud but deep and powerful. Dual exhaust with headers and flowmasters. It is a pleasure just to hear her idle. The horn doesn't work, she got new window motors last year but the windows need some adjustment. There is a small crack in the dashboard that was not perfectly fixed but not overly noticeable. I have a spray can with the interior color. Also have some paint left overs from the body colors. Since she needs a few things fixed, I put her up for auction with no reserve, so somebody can get a nice deal and can take care of her. But it doesn't take away that she is still simply gorgeous. She is also up for sale locally and should the highest bid be ridiculously low on the last day, I will cancel the auction since I have an offer. I encourage to come check her out or ask questions. Thanks for looking. $200 non refundable deposit within 48 hrs after auction close via pay pal. Balance in cash at pick up within 5 days. No checks, no shipment.
