Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for stopping to check out our 1956 Desoto FireFlite! The car has the following options: 59K MILES V-8 Hemi Engine Push-Button Automatic Transmission Power Steering! Power Brakes! AM Radio in dash Additional AM/FM/CD Player This car was in a museum in the Akron-Canton area for most of its life. The miles read as shown above, and are believed to be actual, but we are selling it as not actual, because we don't want to guarantee that they are correct for a 57-year old car. The gentleman that owned the museum, who was then 87 years old, closed the museum and sold all of the cars about 3-4 years ago. The car was purchased by a man in Twinsburg, OH, who went over the whole car mechanically, replacing all tires, including the new spare (in trunk), brakes, tune-up, hoses, belts, fluids, and battery, whatever it took, to make it ready to drive on any given day. We bought it from him because he was having health issues, and we are now selling it. The reason the car is as clean as it is, inside and out, is because it was barely used. The dash has no cracks, the seats are beautiful, and the headliner is good. The paint really looks nice on the car. The chrome is in great shape for the year, and it starts and drives very well. It also has a new stereo system in the car with no damage done to any of the dashboard. This has the HEMI engine and the whole engine compartment is very, VERY clean! The trunk is also in excellent shape, solid as a rock! It is really rare to find a car in this pristine condition and so fresh-looking! If you look down the chrome on both sides, it doesn’t have all the nicks and bumps you would expect to see on a car this old. If you can stop by and check it out for yourself, we would like very much like to meet you and go through the car with you the best we can! More than 200 pictures of this gorgeous , classic car can be seen here: http://s1278.photobucket.com/user/RitaAutoSales/slideshow/1956%20DeSoto This is an as-is vehicle, which means that once you buy it, you own it with all faults (known or unknown). Every time you bid on the car keep in mind that you have an opportunity to be the owner, so your bid means something. We encourage all bidders to stop out, personally examine the car and drive it for themselves. If you can’t personally make it out to check out this vehicle, simply find a local mechanic to look at the vehicle and give you a personal report on the condition. We need the car paid for within 3 days, either by cash or wire transfer, after the auction is over. We would like the car picked up from our lot within 7 days of auction ending. There will be a $100 paperwork fee added on to the final sale price of the vehicle. If you need a 30 Day Tag it’s $18.50. If we need to transfer your title (and not hand you your title) we will also have to collect the tax in your county if you live in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Florida, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, South Carolina or Washington. We will not pay any shipping fees, but we would be glad to assist your shipper in picking up your vehicle. If you have any questions, call Stan at 216-598-7011. Good luck bidding!
