Vehicle Detail

1989 SAAB 900T CONVERTIBLE 122K miles. Automatic. Our listing was removed by Ebay because of some confusion over the title, but it's back. Even though the Saab comes with a perfectly clean title, Ebay is requiring that it be listed as a rebuilt title. After repairs in the 90's I was issued a clean title and have always had one. That's the way things were done in Alabama in the 90's. So don't be afraid, the title is good. I have added pictures of the title, front and back. Now, the Saab story as they say. I purchased this car in 1994. That's right, 94! I bought it at an insurance auction in Georgia. It's always been in the south so no rust whatsoever. They had totaled the car out because of fire. The battery had caught fire and burned the right front corner of the car. (See picture) Over the next 4 years I slowly replaced everything necessary for it to be inspected and roadworthy. Hood, distributor, wiring harness from headlights to ignition switch, etc etc. Never any damage inside the car. Never any structural either. There is a small scratch on the right rear corner of the hood. (see picture) It could be touched up by a good artist. Outside, the body is laser straight. Laser straight! Original paint except, of course, the hood and right fender. SPG wheels with new tires. Around 1999 or 2000 I sold it to a friend who drove it, then sold it to his son, who sold it back to me after a year or so, around 2001. Six years later I registered it again in 2007. While his son owned it, he replaced the steering rack, shocks, convertible top and a factory rebuilt transmission. Since he sold it back to me, in the 12 years since, I've put about 5K miles on it. Reupholstered the interior and many other little things. The back seats are original leather and the front seats are identical vinyl. This car has been well cared for. The engine: SPG 9 stage one turbo kit. Injectors, APC box, adjustable fuel regulator, by pass valve etc. Modified Mitsubishi turbo to eliminate bottom end lag. This car is fast!! The air conditioning is removed (compressor, condensor, drier and lines) but will come with the car. Since it is probably going to sell to someone in the north (no one knows what a Saab is in the deep south) I can't see installing it at this time. It all worked and will be in the trunk. Also, new timing chain and tensioner installed two years ago. That's why the ac is off the car. In order to replace the timing chain, the engine has to come out of the car. Oh yes, super stereo system. And yes, the electric antennae goes up and down like it should. Comes with boxes of miscellaneous parts. The car has been sitting in my garage for the last 5 years. Time to go. Look at my feedback and buy with confidence. On Jul-04-13 at 07:31:13 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI Went to start the car for the first time in over three months. Noticed automatic transmission on the floor of the garage about the size of the palm of your hand. Gasket? Seal? I don't know. But the car still runs and drives fine and is a beautiful car. Just want all the bidders to be aware of it.On Jul-04-13 at 13:26:46 PDT, seller added the following information: Oopps! NO, the transmission was not on the floor! Sorry about the typo! A small amount of transmission fluid was on the garage floor. Not sure if it is a gasket or seal. As I said before, the car runs and drives fine.
