Vehicle Detail

Greetings..For sale is a 1966 Chrysler 300 2 door. Car starts well and runs strong..transmission shifts perfectly...brakes work well...just hop in and go. Engine, transmission, front end and disc brakes were all rebuilt 40,000 miles ago. 1 1/2 inch lowering blocks on rear end and front torsion bars adjusted to match. Krager Unilug Mag wheels...tires 60% tread remaining. AC equipped car, but bypassed...most parts are still on car and come with car...missing condenser and dryer, but all other parts under the dash are there. This is a 440 cu in. TNT with double snorkel air cleaner and cast iron headers. Mileage appears to be accurate, but it is not a guarantee. New fuel pump, new points, plugs and wires. New positive battery cable with heat shield. New fuel tank sending unit attached to after market fuel gauge, lower circuit board needs to be replaced for stock gauge to work. This car was originally power lock equipped, but was converted to manual locks. Doors lock..drivers door needs a little more jiggling. Interior needs work, but headliner and carpets are good. Instrumentation and lights, signals all work properly, except original fuel gauge. All Power windows are functioning. New door seals, rear window seal needs replacement. Leaks a little. Also missing rear window trim. Previous owner replaced both rear quarter panels. Also swapped out trunk lid from a Chrysler Newport. Floor pans and trunk are in near mint condition...more underside photos at your request. Newer exhaust system, but mufflers need replacement. Body condition: There are rust bubbles starting to become visible near the top of the windshield (see photo)...there is a small rust bubble on the edge of the trunk lid...there is a repair on the drivers side fender lip (see photo)...this is about a 4 year old Maaco paint job...there are some spots from a pine tree on hood, trunk and roof. Some minor dings here and there. It is not a perfect paint job. Chrome on most of car is excellent...except rear bumper. The grill looks like it just came off the assembly line. As with any old car, it has a few wiring issues, but nothing serious...ie. radio and power antenna are not operative and bulk head connectors should be replaced. Heater core needs replacement and heater is bypassed. Rear vacuum operated trunk latch is not hooked up, but car comes with vacuum switch and vacuum canister. Rear trunk works fine with key. Has original jack, wrench and spare tire. Small repair on passenger side tail light. Original owners manual with spare key blanks in glove box. Original build sheet and original certi-card. Last 2 pictures show original factory broadcast sheet the shipping order number on the sheet matches the shipping order number on the fender tag. the casting number on block is correct for a 440 cu in. engine from 1966-72. the casting date is 1966 but I cant tell the exact month and day unless I remove the starter motor. If you want me to, I will remove the starter and find the exact date. The engine stamp on the pad reads B 1966 440 10 12, that means this engine was final assembled on 10-12 1966. Chrysler cars built before 1968 did not have a matching partial vin number stamped on the block. I believe this is the original block for this car. Broadcast sheet verifies the vin number shipping order number and more options. We have owned this car for several years, but are now very busy with other projects. We are sad to see her go, but know she will find a good home. Please let us know if you would like additional photos or more details.
