I am putting up for auction my Homebuilt totally electric powered car. Runs and drives excellent. NO problems! Originally was a 1996 Geo Metro, full conversion done in 2008. Has 96volt DC battery pack using 16 Crown 6v traction batteries. Still works perfect. D&D ES31b dc motor. Electronic speed controller rated 500amps made by Kelly mod#kdh09501. Charger is also made by Kelly, plugs into a standard 20amp 120v receptacle and charges the car in 12hours. Lights and accessories are powered off the main pack with a 14v dc to dc converter also from Kelly. A small motorcycle battery provides initial current. Has a vacuum pump for power brakes. No heat, no AC. Top speed is about 55-60, range varies from 30miles to 50 miles. Frame has been reinforced and remainder of the car has been lightened. Total wt just under 3000lbs. Fully street legal passes inspection and can be driven every day. I drove it daily on my last job. New job is too far of a commute. So its time to sell. Low starting bid and low reserve! Cant buy the parts for what my reserve price is. Local pickup is prefered. If you want shipping you will have to arrange it. I know nothing about it. But you will have to come here to get the title notarized, NC laws say both buyer and seller have to be present. It has reconstructed title because motor and drive train are not from a Geo Metro!
