Vehicle Detail
Had a lot of questions so here's some answers. This is a straight and rust free Oklahoma car since new. Bought as a disassembled project, it had just been painted by a local Vo-Tech. I worked many years at a professional restoration shop where we decided to finish to a nice but "driver class" condition in 1988 for my own use. Car is not "Concours" never intended to be and isn't advertised as such (those are currently $85,000 to $125,000) and car is priced accordingly. In spite, the car has still won 1st place at local car shows. Has some amateur paint flaws, and 25 years of expected hanger rash but no accidents since. Missing correct air snorkel and misc. minor parts. As with most is missing smog equipment. Has new replacement Holley. Oil cooler missing, but have original lines and filter adapter. Original SCJ block was bored .030. assembled with fresh "N" heads, factory PI alum. intake, CJ crank and rods, stock replacement pistons. Oil pressure 35 lbs. idling hot, and carries 80 lbs at 2500 RPM.. Cam was upgraded to solid lifter with adjustable rockers. Correct CJ exhaust manifolds exit exhaust through a great sounding Turbo Mufflers that aren't too loud and don't drone in the car. I opted for more streetable 3.91 (31 spline posi) rather than the 4.30 is coded for. Trans is the correct "big nose" Nascar top loader with correct Hurst shifter and T handle. Car starts immediately, is extremely reliable and needs nothing as an operational vehicle. Has new HD battery and new Cooper "Cobra" radials. Brakes are excellent, front end needs nothing This car drives and operates as it should Realistically falls somewhere between number 3 and number 4 quality on the Hagerty scale. A rare drivable collectable SCJ for a fair price. All serious offers considered. Thanks for your interest! Call Jeff at 918-269-2507 or email at blootoe_206@msn.com for any questions.
