1980 BMW R-Series

This is a 1980 BMW R 100 RS in very nice shape. It has been painted from the frame up in black. Most of it professionally powder-coated and the rest with quality automotive paint. The previous owner had the bike for 16yrs and was a maintenance tech. There are very very detailed service records. I can email a pdf of these to anyone if they would like to see them. I aquired the bike from a trade that I made with Mischler BMW and HD of Beaver Dam WI. They had it on their showroom floor. I have a clear WI title in hand. The bike is in my Garage near Wadena, MN. There are a few miles on the bike but I'd trust this bike more than a 10k mile bike of the same year. The records show that any part that showed any suspected wear was replaced and properly adjusted, lubed, polished and so on. Again, I can email pdf of records. The most notable major work done to the bike was at 71k miles. New Rings, Valve job, New Clutch, and Transmission rebuilt. Also, Timing Chain and Guides at 88k miles. The tires are both in good shape. The rear has only 2k miles on it. The bike starts easily and runs very smoothly. Everything works as it should...Gauges, Lights, Blinkers, Horn and so on. The upper front forks and bars are covered with vibration dampening foam. There are some minor cosmetic scratches on the bike but nothing major. The Corbin seat is showing it's age as part of the textured fabric is starting to crack as seen in picture. The bike comes with everything shown in pics including: BMW removable hard bags, Corbin seat, Padded tank cover/map bag, soft bags on tank sides (luftmiester), Extra keys, original manual, and ALL the service records.. see last pic. The bike has 95k miles and it should be ready to take anywhere. Last Tuesday I had it out on a 100+ mile ride and it preformed flawlessly.
