Vehicle Detail
I have a 1935 Dodge coupe. "THIS IS NOT AN ACTUAL RACE CAR", it was built to resemble an old 60's - 70's modified stock car, I am referring to it as a RAT ROD as the body is painted but is rough with dents and bullet holes. Clear title in hand. THIS CAR IS STREET LEGAL IN ARIZONA (I don't know what the laws are where you live, so check before bidding). Full chrome moly tubing race chassis, with full cage, coil over front and rear suspension, and rack and pinion steering. The engine is a chevy 350, 375hp with a turbo 350 trans and a Frankland quick change rear. I used vintage gauges for the look and the engine runs at just under 180 degrees in the 110 degree plus Arizona desert, never even came close to overheating in extreme temps. There is no speedometer, race cars don't have them, so I go by 3 times the tack in 3rd gear and its accurate. Windshield is attached to the rollcage and is plexiglass that is curved around the lower cross bar and becomes the dash to house the gauges. Two racing seats with cloth covers and 5 point harnesses. The wheels are steel, wide 5 pattern, 10" in front, 14" in rear, with Hoosier tires that have good tread but are actually for track use and not DOT approved (I do have 4 extra tires that go with it) . Brand new 16 gallon Jazz fuel cell. New dual Wilwood master cylinders (one for front, one for rear) and 4 wheel disk brakes. Paint is an off white with a crackle finish to make it look old. Very light and quick. Runs and drives great. This car is street legal (except for the open headers) but I will include mufflers. Has working headlights, tail lights, directionals and horn. It does not have a windshield wiper, I carry a squigee in case I get pulled over, it has not been out in rain, so I didn't need wipers. Has a quick release steering wheel. Probably will not pass an emmissions test, but because of the year, it should not have to (except Cali). Ride is rough and loud (because of the open headers and the Frankland quick change rear) but a lot of fun and catches a ridiculous amount of attention where ever it goes. It is extremely tight to get in through the window so I have the roof hinged and I get in through the roof. This is a one of a kind trip down memory lane for anyone that has been to the races back in the 60's AND 70'S. I DO NOT USE PAYPAL!!!! $500 within 24 hrs of auction ending, and balance in CASH within 7 days of auction ending or car will be relisted. FOR QUESTIONS, EMAIL OR CALL 832-731-7128 On Jun-19-13 at 09:49:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I am adding some more pictures. First four are of the roof closed, open ,looking in form the top, and looking in from the rear side driver window. The next is of the frame, cage and interior before the body was attached. the last two are of the frame and body when I first got them, before all the work was done to fit the body on the chassis. AGAIN, this is a street car and was NOT built to be an actual race car.
