Thank you for looking at my ad! I can assure you that this isn’t just any ordinary Sedan de Ville for sale. In fact, it is one that has been well loved and taken care of for years. I am a Cadillac Collector and again have too many cars, which isn’t a bad thing until you run out of storage space! This is a 1989 Cadillac Sedan de Ville that I bought in January from friends that didn’t have a need for it anymore. I’ve really enjoyed it and it was my daily driver until a month ago when I purchased a newer car for that purpose. Now it is a garage queen, and I need to find it a new home. I have 2 other Cadillac sedans and don’t really need 3, which is why I’m selling. I’ve invested over $7,000 in the car since I’ve owned it, as I’m a bit of a perfectionist and had intended to use the car as my primary driver but ended up changing plans about it. Here is a list of what I’ve done to it since I’ve had it in January, 2013. All service has been done by my local Cadillac dealer, Cadillac of South Charlotte, and much of the work remains under warranty. · Full Fluid Service – Oil with Z Max Additive and Brake Fluid Flush / Replace · Full Brake Service – Cylinders, Calipers, and Lines, along with pads · New mounts for the engine and for the transmission. · Replaced Front Windshield due to pitting from highway miles / driving on the old one. New one is mint! · 4 wheel alignment · Replaced Front Interior Door Panel Armrests – as new now! · Replaced Hood Shocks · Refinished front hood and front fender and front / rear plastic bumper cover pieces due to age/chips for a fresh look · Replaced front parking lenses due to old ones were discolored · Replaced front grille due to old one was pitted · Replaced all ornamentation due to fading · New front and rear carpeted floor mats with embroidered Cadillac logo and crest on them · New UV Protectant Window Tinting · New Vogue Tires and upgraded Cadillac de Ville Chrome Wheels No reserve! The car is a great buy for what it is and will not give you any issues. It is very reliable and trouble free. Gets about 14-16 mpg city and 19-20 mpg highway, amazing for this sized car. Note that the power antenna doesn’t go up and down automatically, but can be manually raised and lowered with no issue. Easy fix. Still too, there is evidence of past repaint on the rear fenders, and rear passenger door due to two separate activities with the car by the original owner. She was elderly and didn't drive too well in later years, and had some parking lot skirmishes, as I understand. The car is fully presentable as the photos show, but I wanted to disclose this to any potential buyers. Starts, runs, and drives with no issues. Very quiet and comfortable car. Loves to cruise the highway. Very responsive and engine is very good for reliability and dependability. It is the 4.5 L 8 Cylinder engine used by Cadillac in the late 1980’s on nearly all models. Valid and Current State of North Carolina Title and Registration. Free and Clear of any liens. Still also, I’ve got a pretty hefty maintenance file including all books and records for the car from the early years up to the present. I’ve even got the original window sticker and bill of sale. Pretty cool to have these. I may be reached at (704) 778 3557, home or (704) 804 0806, mobile should you be interested and/or by return reply via eBay. See added photos of the car at: http://s1157.photobucket.com/user/tradow1/library/HopeThis car is a great daily driver, would make a terrific extra car, or a good first car for someone. It needs a great home, and will be sold to the highest bidder. Please call me should you have any questions, or e-mail works too via eBay. Inspections of the car locally are certainly welcome and accommodated. Thanks for viewing my auction! On Jun-17-13 at 17:28:54 PDT, seller added the following information: In addition to the aforementioned comments on the vehicle, I wanted to add the following: This car is a “20 footer”. When looking at the photos provided in this auction, the bright white color can hide some flaws in the paint normally associated with age and with prior refinishing done by the original owner. To be cosmetically perfect, the car needs some help. Although a car at this price point and to be used as a daily driver is rarely perfect, I wanted to be completely precise in the description of the vehicle in the interest of any potential buyers. For example, to be show quality and perfect, the car does need to be repainted on the roof, trunk lid, rear quarter panels, and doors to match the recently refinished hood, driver's side front fender, and front and rear of the car. Prior older repairs weren't of the best quality and are showing "age", although receipts from the original owner show they were done by Cadillac in St. Petersburg, FL. I had planned to do this as a "Phase Two" on the car, given my perfectionist tendencies. The car, despite these needs, is fully respectable and presentable "As Is" as a daily driver. Although it is nice, it isn't a "show car", as someone might mistakenly glean from the photos provided for this auction. Still also, the passenger's driver side door has a slight crease in it that isn't shown or seen in the pictures. It is not always noticeable, except when looking at the door from a particular angle from a distance or when you are right next to it, but it is important to know it is there. We have not been able to get it to appear in a photograph. Finally, the replacement fender as shown being replaced in the pictures via the Photo bucket link provided isn't factory OEM, but an aftermarket part, that although it looks good, doesn't fit precisely as the original one did. We wanted an OEM part, but they are no longer made. We ordered 3 used factory OEM parts, but none of these would work at the time given the broken attachment points on the used fenders. Therefore, the aftermarket part was ordered given we had no other choice, and as a result, alignment of the front fender isn't as the original one, despite efforts by a trained Cadillac body man at the time. Although it looks very nice, we couldn't get it to completely look as the original, although it is presentable as a daily driver. The leading edge at the top of the replacement part doesn't look exactly as the original OEM and there is a slightly larger gap between the hood and the fender along with a slight overlap in the front of the car where the fender assembly meets the front of the car. The car is sold "AS IS" with no warranties expressed or implied, except that the body repairs made to the car by Cadillac of South Charlotte in January, 2013 are covered for the lifetime of the car per a warranty certificate to be provided to the new owner. I am happy to also scan this and any other records for your review ahead of your purchase, in the interest of full disclosure and honesty. Unfortunately, the warranty repairs must be made on the car in Charlotte, and this might not be practical for an out of town buyer, per the requirements of the Cadillac of South Charlotte warranty program. Should you have any questions about these disclosures, I am happy to discuss them with you at your convenience. (704) 804-0806, mobile is the best way to reach me for the balance of the auction. Thank you! Happy bidding! Travis Dowell
