This 1998 Volkswagen Jetta GLS 5-Speed Manual had only 1 previous owner and no reported accidents as shown above on the free AutoCheck Report. This vehicle runs great and has no mechanical issues. It also has alot of great features inside: Power Windows, Power Locks, Power Mirrors, Sunroof, JVC CD Player, COLD A/C and working Heat, Cruise Control and much more..ALL of which is functional in the vehicle. All of the interior/exterior lights and signals are also fully operational as well. I test drove this Volkswagen for over 110 miles and it runs and drives very nicely. The 2.0 Liter 4 Cylinder engine gets 28 MPG highway making it a great little commuter car. The engine sounds and runs solid and all fluids in the vehicle are filled to proper levels. The clutch shifts throughout the gears very nicely and there are no hard shifts or grinding in the gearbox whatsoever. The alignment on this Jetta is perfectly straight and it does not drift to one side or another while driving. The car handles very smoothly as well and the brakes are very effective which I was able to give an example of in the video posted above. (PLEASE SEE THE YOUTUBE VIDEO OF THIS VEHICLE FOR A SHORT TEST DRIVE AND WALKTHROUGH) There is no check engine light or other warning lights lit on the dashboard whatsoever. The interior of this Jetta does have some wear consistent with the mileage on the vehicle however overall it is in pretty good shape inside. There are no rips or tears in the carpeting or seats and it smells great inside. This was definitely a non-smoker vehicle. The steering wheel and shifter show very minimal wear as well. There are a few residual stains on the passenger side and rear seat cushion. The exterior of this Jetta does have quite a few dings/scrapes and dents which I point out in detail in the video posted. There is some damage to the rear passengers side door panel however this does NOT effect how the door opens/closes or locks whatsoever. All of the body damage is purely cosmetic. There is a small bit of rust forming on the roof area towards the windshield which is also just cosmetic, there are no window or weather stripping leaks whatsoever. The front tires which I point out in the video are very bald and would certainly need to be replaced soon. The rear tires are matching and have atleast 60% treadlife left on them so they will not need to be replaced for a long time. The rims are also in good condition and have only some very minor scuffs on some of the center spokes. There is a spare/jack/wrench included in the trunk as shown. There is a $145 documentation fee, and if you live in NJ I am required to collect the appropriate sales tax. We require a valid drivers license before pickup/delivery. We require insurance information if you will require a temporary tag to drive the vehicle home. An out-of-state tag is good for 20 days, an NJ temp tag is good for 30 days. The buyer is responsible for all shipping costs should you choose to ship your car to your location. We do not get involved in shipping whatsoever, but we will gladly comunicate with the drivers to ensure your vehicle is picked up as soon as possible. We accept C4sh, Credit or Debit cards (3% Bank Fee applies), or Cashiers Checks (Certified Bank Check - NOT personal checks) on all final balances when you arrive to pick up the vehicle.
