Up for auction is a 1968 Alfa Romeo GT1300 Junior. I Have owned this car since 1970 and never thought it would come down to this. My intention was always to have this car restored but since I have a fully restored '67 Junior and recently purchased a '69 Junior Duetto I am forced to sell this car as I no longer have space to keep it and do not want to store it outside. This car was my daily driver for 15 years back in the '70s and '80s, it has since been stored in my garage. About 15 years ago I started the restoration by welding in new wheel arches and lower panels. As you can see, that is as far as I have got, family and work just took priority. As you can see from the photos this car is still pretty solid. The areas that need attention are the radiator cross member, which is available as a replacement part (can be refabricated or bought from Classicalfa or Alfaholics last time checked it was about $75.00), the rear trunk drain channels (small holes), the bottom rear side window trim area, and some places around the wiper compartment. Most of the rust seen in the photos is surface rust. This car is being offered as a rolling shell as you see but comes with all mechanical and trim parts, except the seats and dashboard, but including the gauges. The carbs are missing from the engine. Two radiators, one fairly good, one good for parts. Also has the stepnose hood in good condition. Haven't taken a picture of it yet. There are 2 rear bumpers, they can be combined to make one great bumper and there is 1 front bumper. Still have more parts to take out of storage. On Jun-08-13 at 15:29:09 PDT, seller added the following information: All parts for the GTJ are now out of storage. Everything is there except I can't find: Passenger side rear light lens - the housing is there, just lens missing. One front headlight trim ring. And can't find the intake manifold. I have the headers. I'm looking, maybe they will pop up. Just wanted to give a fair description of the car. Thanks. Rob.
