Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1987 Chevy Silverado V10 short bed 4x4. This is the last year of this body style. Along with being the last year of this body style it is also the first year that the 350 engine came back replacing the 305 that been used previously. Also as a newly introduced addition was fuel injection. In 1987 Chevrolet renamed the C/K-Series to the R/V-Series. R-Series now designated two-wheel drive, while V-Series represented four-wheel drive. So, about this specific truck. I bought this truck in 1987. It was 6 months old and had 6500 miles on it. This is basically a one owner truck. The lift was already on it at the time. I put dual steering stablizers on later. I have kept this garaged its entire life. It has been hand washed and waxed and professionally detailed from day one. Babied? You could say that. As you can see from the picture of the service records, I kept very current with every aspect of service and maintenance. I somewhere still have a file folder with every receipt from every service this truck has had. The shell and carpet kit are included if you want them. I put the shell on it at 62,000 miles. It is a nice Leer shell with tinted windows, insulated and has a rubber boot that goes around the rear window of the cab. Also the rear window of the truck cab has a sliding window as does the shell. The tires are Big -O- mud terrain 35x12.5 on 15x10 wheels. This is a classic now. Well, it was then too. You won’t find a cleaner one owner than this truck. Not many of these have been kept as original as this. The only thing not stock on this is the lift and the rear bumper. Everything else is factory fresh. No rebuilt motor. No need. The engine is still like brand new. This is sold as is where is. Buyer responsible for shipping and pickup. Ask questions before placing bid. No trades please. I have had a few questions about the Silverado emblem on the passenger side of the truck. This is with the truck and is in the back of the truck. The tab had broken on the inside retainer of the emblem but it is with the truck. Also as to paint. It is the original paint with the exception of the out side of the truck bed from the side molding up to the top. When I switched shells in 1992 the old shell had peeled some paint of the top rails and I had it repainted at that time. Thanks.
