Vehicle Detail
Here is a 2004 Chevy Venture Minivan for sale. This van was involved in an accident last July, I drove the van in this condition the next 9 months before finally buying a new van last month. This van is a great find for anyone who does body work, or if you just need a vehicle to drive around if you own a ranch or a large piece of property. Exterior: The van was t-boned by a stolen car on the passenger side, but also recieved damage to the rear quarter panel on the drivers side from impact with a second parked vehicle. I've included some close up photos of the damage. The van is now a 3 door, as the rear sliding door on the passenger side no longer opens becuase of the damage. The front passenger side door opens & closes fine as shown. Interior: The van has grey cloth interior, its actually in pretty good condition, 90% of the time I owned the van, I drove it alone. So the seats in the van show very little wear. The floor does show definate wear due to age. All of the seating is present in the van, it holds 8 people comfortably, and the Stow & Go system which first made the Ventures popular is also still installed in the back as shown. Mechanical: This van still runs & drives fine, as I said, I drove it for 9 months after the accident, until I finally got a new van, and got this one totaled out from the insurance company with a salvage title. The only real issues are that it needs a new automatic shift sensor, basically the van has a hard time shifting out of first gear until it gets warmed up. As is, you need to drive the van for a few minutes in first gear, until it finally shifts up, then once that happens, the van shifts fine the rest of the time you drive it, through all gears, including freeway driving. But after shutting it off, if the van cools down, you will need to repeat the process each time you drive it, but as long as its warm, it shifts through all gears fine. That said, replacing the sensor should solve that problem instantly. The only other issue is that I believe the front passenger side ball joint needs replaced, I can feel a wobble now from that area when I drive it. I did replace the alternator in the van 3 months after the accident just to keep it running, but other then that & an oil change, I didn't put any other work into the van in its condition. Payment & Shipping: I expect the winner of the van to be able to pay paypal or cash, and expect the vehicle to be picked up within 2 weeks in Columbus, Ohio. As is with an Ohio Salvage Title, the van is not legal to drive, so the ideal situation would be to transport it on a trailer or have it towed. That being said, the van is driveable, so by all means if you wanna slap some plates on it, and drive it home, I could care less. Any other questions, just shoot me an e-mail, thanks for looking!
