All critical servicing was performed by Ted Porter and the team at The Beemer Shop in Scotts Valley CA. All receipts are available. Most parts were purchased from Max BMW, the rest from The Beemer Shop. I stopped counting the costs after 8K was passed. Total costs including original bike purchase- 12,250. We all know BMW stands for Break Mama’s Wallet. Stella is ready to make someone very happy and is looking for a good home. The 1978 R80/7 is next. Feel free to call to discuss any details or questions you may have. Thanks for looking. Craig J Christian DDS Carmel CA 831 277-4442On May-31-13 at 18:34:16 PDT, seller added the following information: In response to several questions about "Stella", I am adding this info.Everything I did or had done to the bike is listed in the ad. if it is not there, it was not done. The paintwork, with the exception of the side covers which I did refinish, is as I purchased the bike.Who did it, when and with what materials is unknown. The fenders are very nice. The tank has some pitting under the paint, and some flaking in a few places around the flanges and filler neck. Because the tank must be removed to access the master cylinder, it is really hard to avoid small dings. Same for the frame where the tank can come in contact with.I personally would have redone the tank if I were to keep Stella but that will be another project. The rear shocks are original. Their life is essentially over but they haven't died yet. Ikons would be best but would alter the stock look. That's it. Stella is amazing!!!
