A local man bought it while at the cruisin the coast event down in Mississippi back in 2004 & has only been driving the truck to shows within 100 miles of hearne Texas ever since then. Every show I've ever seen the truck at he won his class but as nice as this truck appears and all the shows it has won do not compare to how nice the truck really is. You could not have went to the dealership in 1970 & bought one brand new that is as good of a truck! Now, I know that's a pretty strong description but is absolutely how it is. I have been trying to buy this truck for about five years. As hard as I'm trying my description is still gonna fall short of just how good a truck this actually is. The builder along with the man that's owned the truck the last several years are just pickier than the pickiest guys out there. This truck even on a cold day is set up to drive. Just like a new one the choke is set perfectly, push the pedal to the floor a single time and hit the key and the 400 immediately comes to life with a touch of the key! With the slightest tap of the gas pedal the choke closes & it goes straight to perfect idle even if its cold! I can't even come close to describing the purr it makes at idle. This is hands down the best idling, running big block I've ever been around. Mine or anyone else's! And that is before you even think about getting to put it in gear! At that point it just keeps getting better. This truck runs, shifts & drives down the road literally better than my 2013 king ranch. This is what I call a no excuse truck because it does everything just exactly as it should. This truck was built back in @2003 but you would think it was just finished! A local man bought it while at the cruisin the coast event down in Mississippi back in 2004 & has only been driving the truck to shows within 100 miles of hearne Texas ever since then. Every show I've ever seen the truck at he won his class but as nice as this truck appears and all the shows it has won do not compare to how nice the truck really is. You could not have went to the dealership in 1970 & bought one brand new that is as good of a truck! Now, I know that's a pretty strong description but is absolutely how it is. I have been trying to buy this truck for about five years.
As hard as I'm trying my description is still gonna fall short of just how good a truck this actually is. The builder along with the man that's owned the truck the last several years are just pickier than the pickiest guys out there.
This truck even on a cold day is set up to drive. Just like a new one the choke is set perfectly, push the pedal to the floor a single time and hit the key and the 400 immediately comes to life with a touch of the key! With the slightest tap of the gas pedal the choke closes & it goes straight to perfect idle even if its cold! I can't even come close to describing the purr it makes at idle. This is hands down the best idling, running big block I've ever been around. Mine or anyone else's! And that is before you even think about getting to put it in gear! At that point it just keeps getting better. This truck runs, shifts & drives down the road literally better than my 2013 king ranch.
This is what I call a no excuse truck because it does everything just exactly as it should.
