Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1972 Honda CB100 Custom Cafe Racer The PERFECT Graduation Gift for your son or daughter that is in to these old school rides!!! We are selling our recently completed custom 1972 Honda CB100 Cafe Racer. She started out as a stock bike (we purchased the bike from a local dude that took very good care of her). She had been tucked away in the corner of his garage and needed some TLC to get her to the condition you see now! She fires right up on the first or second kick and runs perfectly – she revs strong through the entire RPM range and through all 5 gears without any clutch slippage or break-up. As the motor and airbox are stock, we assume she still gets close to 70 MPG! As you can see from the photos (more photos on our website … including a couple YouTube videos of her running and going down the street), the bike was fully disassembled to the frame - everything has been cleaned and repainted. In addition, the newly painted tank / tail-piece / fender have several coats of PPG Deltron Urethane Clear. The paint scheme is a silver metallic (very fine flake) with cardinal red. All work completed in-house (except for the upholstery - we do not have an industrial sewing machine yet). custom fabricated all steel tail-piececustom upholstered seat/back-restcustom paint scheme with knee pads custom cut front fender custom fabricated exhaust system recently installed ignition points and condenser new 6V battery (yes, she has a 6V Elec. System – she charges fine) cut down stock bars for lower profile - comfortable/sporty riding position newly painted frame / engine / wheels / tins new engine oil SHE IS READY TO HIT THE STREETS You can listen to the bike run on the YouTube video link on our webpage (www.barebonerides.com/the-bikes … there is also a walk-around YouTube video). She sounds pretty tough for a 100 (well, as tough as a 100cc four stroke bike can sound). We also want to point out that this is a small bike – if you are a big person (say over 5’ - 8” or so and weigh in excess of say 200 lbs), we would not recommend this bike for you – she’s a tough old Honda and can take a lot but, we just want folks to be realistic about this ride. Feel free to contact us directly with any questions. Please understand that we do not build show bikes – our passion is to transform these bikes to be one-off custom and unique daily riders that will turn a lot of heads – this CB100 Café Racer fits this bill perfectly. This little bike draws a ton of attention – when you pull up on her, people just can’t get over how cool this little red ride looks – the appeal is definitely there! She will bring lots of attention at any bike show/ride/event or at the local coffee shop on a Saturday morning. She would also look right at home doing laps at a vintage race day (she was built as a tribute to the old school small cc road/track racers from back in the day) – obviously, some mods would be in order for vintage racing but, she definitely has the look! Check out the shop and our perspective on these custom rides/builds at www.barebonerides.com ... feel free to follow our builds by "Like"ing our facebook page at www.facebook.com/barebonerides ... you can see all of our builds on our website. Please keep in mind this bike is over 40 years old with 40-year-old technology. In our opinion, this bike is best suited for someone that knows these bikes or knows how to wrench on them (the beauty of these bikes is their simplicity – very easy to work on for those who know their way around a tool box). She has a clean FL Title. We ask that you contact us prior to bidding if you have less than 10 positive feedback scores or a questionable feedback score/rating. We sincerely appreciate your time in checking out this build … and if she is not for you, as always we wish you much luck on your search for that bike with your name on it … it is out there! Keep an eye out for our next build – maybe that will be the one for you! PAYMENT: A $200.00 DEPOSIT via PayPal is due upon winning the auction (see "Payment" tab for payment terms/requirements). The balance is due in full within 7 days after the auction has ended. No need to offer to buy her out-right … once the auction begins, we will allow it to run its course. If she does not meet the reserve, then maybe we can talk! SHIPPING: THIS AUCTION IS FOR LOCAL PICK UP ONLY FOR THIS MOTORCYCLE. Please note that the buyer will be responsible for all shipping requirements from our shop in Merritt Island, Florida.
