Up for auction is a great, RUST free 1965 Ford Mustang with a rebuilt 289, less than 100 miles on the motor, and a C4 automatic transmission. The car runs great and was a project for one of our kids but, now she wants a newer car! The car has tons of new parts like a new interior, new seat upholstery, new bumpers, new tires and the list goes on. The car has manual steering and manual drum brakes that work just fine. The paint is a few years old and looks great from 5 feet. It has some small dings from through the years. The body lines are very good overall and there is no signs of rust on the car. It's a very solid car, that was the reason we bought it. The car is an Arizona car and that is why the lack of rust. The car starts right up, idles perfect and has a lot of power. When the motor was built I used high compression pistons, and a 351W cam to bump up the HP and she runs!! The car is not perfect by any means it was a work in progress. But, she is a blast to drive, and is ready to be driven!! The car will sell to the highest bidder as there is NO RESERVE!! I think the car will speak for itself in pictures. The car is a nice driver quality car, that has potential to be a stunning car! Good luck Engine/ Transmission. The motor is a original 289 that is bored .030 over with high compression pistons, 351w cam, ARP studs and rod bolts. It has a high volume oil pump, and is topped of with a Edelbrock Performer Intake and a Edelbrock 600 cfm carb. It has new cap/wires/rotor/plugs/belt/hoses, and a new water pump. The radiator is new also. The engine also has a new starter, fuel pump and everything in the motor was machined and done right!! The car has a brand new dual exhaust system with a X pipe too. The engine loves to run and only has about 100 miles on the thing so, it is still in the break in stage. I have receipts for the items that I listed for the motor. The transmission is a smooth shifting C4 that works great. I changed the pan gasket and filter and it looked great inside there, and she works perfect. Interior/ Exterior: The interior has a lot of new parts inside, like new seats front and rear, new door panels, new kick panels, new arm rests, new carpet, and a new dash cap. The windows roll up and down like they should, doors open and close well. It needs a new headliner but, I have one to go with the car and a new windshield gasket too. The car need a new wiper switch but, the wiper motor does work. The heater does work in the car. The radio is not hooked up in car. Blinkers work, lights work but, the horn is a no go. Overall the inside is very clean and looks great. The exterior looks good overall, with new bumpers, and good body lines. The cars undercarriage is very nice with no signs of rust. The passenger floor pan was replaced and it was done very nicely. The paint was done a few years back by the previous owner and it looks good so I left it alone. Like I saw there are small dings here and there on the car but, nothing serious by any means. The car is a driver type car, and was going to be driven by my daughter. I wanted a very reliable car for her, and that's what this car is.
