Vehicle Detail
Ultra Rare Barn Find! This 1941 Packard Henney Landau Hearse is very rare project vehicle. Located in Tucson AZ. Again this is a total project car however it is well worth the effort and the bones are good and solid. The straight 8 turns by hand, the oil is clean and the carb looks rebuilt. I am selling this for the owner and will attempt to describe and provide all the information I can. 1941 Packard Henney NU 3 WAY Plate chassis #1901A2571 Plate Engine #D (O)310086 Body #12250 Serial #A2571 Series 1941-1901 NU3WAY Mound #6330 Firewall ID #583I48 The Henney Landau is a 5 door coach with suicide style doors to allow for removal of the casket from either side or the rear. These were the first with the electric talble assemblies and I am told the table is complete and workable but I have not seen it function. Again the vehicle needs a complete restoration but I believe it is a solid foundation from which to start. All of the wood in the body frame is intact and seems to be solid. Some glass is broken as can be seen in the photos. It would be a shame to see this great classic Packard continue to decline. The Henney Landau Hearses as far as I can determine are the rarest of the rare. Most of the Henney Hearses were of the limousine style with windows all around. Plenty of pictures and I am happy to take more for interested buyers. Vehicle sold as is where is in Tucson AZ. Winning bidder is responsible for all shipping. Winning bidder will be supplied with clean AZ title and 2 powers of attorney for paperwork transfer as well as a bill of sale. I am happy to assist in arranging shipping and will work with your shipper to assure a smooth transport. Again this is a project vehicle, NOT running at this time and will need restoration. Vehicle is for sale localley and as such I reserve the right to end the auction early is the modest reserve had not been reached. Good luck and good bidding. On May-06-13 at 06:57:25 PDT, seller added the following information: I received a question as to whether or not their are windows in the back quarters behind the landau panels. There are in fact which indicates that this vehicle perhaps started out as a limousine style hearse. What I do not know is if in fact the conversion was done at the Henney factory on order or after it was delivered. I apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding in the posting.
