This 1967 Pontiac GTO is one of the best. It has undergone a complete frame off restoration. Every nut and bolt has been brought back to factory original. Only the best parts and methods were used. It has the famous 400 engine with original 670 heads, original intake & exhaust manifolds etc. It is a California car as the original bill of sale shows. It comes with all brackets, air cleaner, hoses and pump to install the California emissions A.I.R. system if so desired. It has the very rare reclining passenger seat with headrests. Also roof rail lights, courtesy light, engine compt. light, trunk light, and lighted ignition switch. The car has it’s original rally 2 wheels. All rubber parts have been replaced with quality reproductions, including suspension bushings front and rear, body bushings, door and trunk seals, belts, hoses etc. A complete set of receipts, P.H.S. papers, and original bill of sale are available to view. Ø Engine – The correct 400 engine has been professionally rebuilt. The mains have been align honed and the engine completely balanced. The stock rods were resized and ARP bolts installed. The block is .030 over with new pistons. The compression is dialed in to a pump gas friendly 9.4 to 1. The 670 heads were resurfaced on two sides. Bronze guides were installed. Valves, springs, retainers and keepers are all new. The quadrajet carb has been carefully rebuilt. The distributor has been rebuilt and recurved. The car has a new 4 row radiator. Ø Transmission – The original M20 muncie 4 speed has been rebuilt with all new bearings, syncro rings, and seals. New Spicer u-joints in the drive shaft. Ø Rear end – The original 3:23 posi rear end has been rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, and an Auburn posi unit. Ø Brakes – The brakes have new shoes and hardware. All drums were turned. The master cylinder and wheel cylinders are all new. Ø Exhaust – The exhaust system is all new 2 ½” mandrel bent stainless steel with stainless mufflers. Not the quick to rust out alumnized steel. Ø Frame – The frame was sandblasted and repainted with the correct 60 degree gloss black chassis paint. All new suspension bushings were installed front and rear. Ø Body – The rust free body was sanded to bare metal. All PPG products were used in the professionally applied paint job. The color is the correct special ordered 1966 candlelight cream. Ø Interior – The premium upholstery is all new from Legendary. New headliner, rear shelf, and rechromed and reconditioned dash with reliable reproduction rally gauges. Original gauges come with car.
