Rare 1965 mustang that was delivered with 1966 options including deluxe interior/full gauage dash and more (see door plate). I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Mr. Carroll Shelby on several occasions both at special events (where Mr. Shelby asked me to hang out in his booth, see picture) and at the Shelby factory and museum here in Las Vegas. This mustang is a real tribute to his 1965/1966 GT 350 Shelby Mustang. All precision mechanical work including engine and the 1" Shelby Drop Suspension" (front and rear) was performed by my father Ken Porter who transformed many mustangs and built numerous ford engines for businesses like Classic Auto Supply in California (owner Mr. Candelaria) and founder of Performance Racing Industry (Mr. Lewis). This unique Mustang has been in my family for over 30 years. Other special features include rare Shelby design TRUNK mounted battery with shut off, rear quarter windows, positraction rearend (3.55 ratio), above rear end stabilizer bar, Shelby styled traction control bars, C4 automatic transmission (not cruise-o-matic) with positive shift kit, 302 motor balanced & blueprinted with ported & polished 351W heads (large valves), mild cam and crane roller rockers, holly ported double pumper carb, mallory ignition, front disc brakes with Koni shocks, monte carlo bar & export brace. Drive line has approximately 5,000 miles. Starts right up and sounds awesome! I have a few extra goodies that go with this sale including but not limited to the signed glove box, a spare matching mag wheel and a die cast Shelby model as pictured. This was a solid rust free California Mustang with no accidents or hidden damage. All original body with no frame or panel replacements were ever done. This show car has been garage pampered.
