Vehicle Detail

Volkswagen is a 2 owner, my dad and I. I decided to have it restored in 2010 and got it back with some disappointment. The inside was partiallly finished and what was covered with interior panels was not redone as you can see in pics. All interior was taken out as it was not good and the restorer used cheap parts not the high quality I was expecting. I decided to rip out all the low quality and finish the resto with quality parts. The rebuilt motor was placed in it and the mehanic drove it and when I got it back it sat in shop while I started taking interior out. Car was cranked and let run for few minutes every week while working on it. I lost interest in bug and battery died, it sat for about 6 months in shop with no activity. I finally got back in charged battery up and engine was hard to crank and belt broke. Thats when I decided I have no more time for this. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Good- Paint finish, new wheels and tires, disc brakes, high quality floorpans( put in by local guy before resto) speedo set back to zero, all new lights, wiring harness, all glass is good, molding good. Headliner is good. Doors close tight. Color is Tornado Red from PPG (vw color), all lights work as they should. Tranny was rebuilt The Bad- Aluminum moulding popped off exterior, doors inside along with mechanisms need to be redone. Needs seats, interior panels and carpet. Engine skips, needs belt on it also. Car needs trunk lid and hardware. There is rust on driver side rear pillar base, see pics. There is rust on engine compartment seal lip. Cheap parts on air vents and such. The ignition switch in it is old, but does work, ignition key does not match doors as it should originally. Engine specs-1776cc, 69mm forged, counter weighted crank. 90.5mm forged pistons. Engle 110 camshaft. Heads are polised and ported with 39x32 valves.009 distributor with Petronix ignition.Dual 36mm Dellorto carbs. ported and polished intakes. 1.5" heater boxes with 1.5" bugpack headers ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have added every fault on this vehicle to the best of my knowledge. I have not driven the car myself only when taken off trailer and into workshop. As you have read above so I cannot give any more information than I did. The mechanic did and said the car ran out very well. I trust him and if something was jacked up he would have brought it to my attention. I am not a car builder and sometimes you find yourself in a losing situation and it's time to cut loose. The car is on a NO RESERVE auction, I just want it gone and I would like to see someone with a passion finish it. I am also in a position to deliver the car if your not too far away. Ask any questions you may think of I'll answer everything I can and hopefully have not missed anything on thisOn Apr-21-13 at 16:55:10 PDT, seller added the following information: What you see listed in description and pics is all that comes with bug. I do have all seats but the two front seats are somehow broken. When you sit in then that click back a few notches. I forgot to include that in above description. These are the only items I have
