1948 Chevy custom pickup truckDue to a disappearing buyer i am relisting this truck.DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BUY THIS TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This comes with a clean 1948 Chevy pickup-truck title. I built this truck using 2 different trucks. One was a half-ton 1948, (which the cab and front clip came from.) and the other truck was a 3800 pick-up. I recessed the hydraulic cylinder, and hoist into the frame, so that when the box is down, it looks like a standard pick-up. As my pictures and video show, the box raises and becomes a dump-box. Complete brake system has been replaced including all four wheel cylinders, master cylinder, hydraulic hoses, and steel lines (See pics!) The brake shoes were at 50% so I re-used them. The engine I purchased from a person that had over-hauled and decided to go with a V-8. I was told it has a few thousand miles on it. And they the way it runs, I believe it! :) The windshield and rear glass are new with weather-strips. Both side windows are original, and roll up and down with ease. New exhaust pipe and muffler. (See pics!) I didn't repair/replace any body panels, because I wanted to keep it original. (Just buffed the paint) It will need cab floor panels and driver door panel repaired or drive it like it is. Also, will need wiring harness replaced. (I left it original also) I would recommend replacing it, so the lights, charging system, etc will function correctly. Also has new fuel-pump, rebuilt carb, and complete tune-up. I flushed the original fuel-tank and installed inline filter. Box floor is treated deck boards, which has not been varnished or stained. I have 100% feedback and plan keeping it that way. Truck is located 15 miles west of Cedar Falls/Waterloo area.
