1968 Ford Mustang Coupe Project car with the Inline 6 (straight 6) engine 200 cu in (3.3 L) 1-barrel 115 bhp (Brake Horsepower) Brake horsepower (bhp) is the measure of an engine's horsepower without the loss in power caused by the gearbox, generator, differential, water pump and other auxiliaries Engine intact (last ran 4 years ago) Power brakes and steering Automatic transmission Dark Green (original paint?) Vinyl top (needs replacement or eliminated) Light green 60’s style Leather/ Vinyl interior (in great shape, just dirty- may need some refurbishing and new stitching but very much salvageable!) Tires hold air with the 2 original hub caps (missing 2 caps) Door Panels and all windows are nice! I believe all original glass with the chrome trim on doors, glass is thicker than today’s cars, that's how I conclude Doors close and open perfect; drivers’ door needs some cosmetic work (pictures) Hood opens and closes great Original Mustang badges in place Trunk needs new lock and some cosmetic work FRONT Floor Pans are completely rusted (kits can be bought and remounted with a weld) Rusted Torque Boxes Rusted Frame Rails Front bumper bend but workable I am trying to represent this car as best as I can but it is what it is. A 1968 Mustang Coupe Project for someone who either needs a ton of parts for their Mustang or someone who wants to restore or possible build a street / drag car by dropping in a new engine and overhauling the entire car!! This car was part of purchase agreement with the home it resides in Whiting Indiana located right next to Chicago... My original intentions were to restore it but now I have project upon project and need the room in the garage. At closing I was told that the last ran 4 years ago, when it was parked. Ran great and was going to be restored- well that never happened and its been sitting for a couple of years – at closing of the house, I was told the keys were lost *NO KEYS*- so the ignition will need to be replaced, which may be a good things since the trunk needs a new lock- you can buy a complete set. Yes, I have the title and the VIN is:: 8F01T155050 Please note I will love cash and a local pick up but I will accept a cashier’s check and or personal check…but, but, but both will need to clear before I send out the title of the car. Check clearing can take up to 2 weeks. Once auction ends, I will send a disclosure, check will clear, then I send the title and you arrange pick up.
