Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 2005 Mustang GT track car. It started as a one owner, completely stock, daily driver. I intended to build it as a NASA American Iron race car. It is currently classed as a TT/B car by both modification points and power/weight ratio although I have never used it in competition. Otherwise, it's a solid, reliable track day car. I have taken it to nine track days at five different race tracks over the past three years. It handles well and keeps up with sports cars it has no business turning corners with, 911's and Corvettes, for example. As you can see from the list below, I basically threw the Steeda catalog at it. Most of the stamped steel suspension parts and rubber bushings have been upgraded. The brakes are from a 2007 GT500 and have three inch cooling ducts from the front fascia to the backing plates. I use GT500 cast one-piece rotors. They're cheaper than the two piece units and can be replaced for about $100 if you know where to look. The interior is mostly stripped. It still has power windows, power locks, and A/C. It does not have a horn, airbags, or DOT approved seat belts. It is currently registered as a street car in Florida (no state inspections). You may or may not be able to register it as a street car in your state. It weighs about 3450 pounds with fuel. I had it on the dyno last summer and it put 321hp and 330tq to the rear wheels on a modified Steeda tune. The only changes I had planned were a rear gear change from 3.55 to 3.08. This would increase the top speed in fourth gear rom 130mph to 153mph. I also planned to use the new style GT500 finned differential cover after the switch. I only use Royal Purple fluids and change the engine oil before and after every track day. I have two sets of GT500 18x9.5" wheels, one with new street tires, the other with track tires. I also have two additional sets of track tires. The retail price of the list below is over $16,000. I suspect if you were to build a similarly prepared car, it would cost at least $30,000 or you could buy a factory race car from Ford for $80,000. Take the advice I should have taken, buy it, don't build it. Why am I selling it? I split with my wife of 11 years about seven months ago and can't afford to keep everything. I also have an F-350 dually and a 20' trailer to get rid of. That said, I may be able to deliver the car to the winning bidder for a fee to be negotiated prior to the close of this listing. The car is located in Port St Lucie, FL. Message me with any questions. There are more pictures on my Facebook. Search for Jim Ruggeri or my email address, JRugg338@aol.com. It has a current license plate and insurance. I drive it on public roads from time to time to get it out of the garage for a while. Florida does not have annual safety inspections or emissions testing. If your state does, it may not pass inspection and you may not be able to register it for use on public roads. It belongs on a race track anyway. Please direct any questions through eBay. I included my email address for use in viewing the additional pictures on my Facebook account. In doing so, I've been getting quite a bit of email spam lately.
