This 2007 Shelby GT was originally delivered new at Artino Ford in Huron, Ohio in October of 2007. That original owner enjoyed the car sparingly until trading it in on a Shelby GT500 in the spring of 2009. The Shelby GT was then sold in April of 2009 with 3323 miles on the odometer. That second owner—a client of Fox Motorsports—continued to only drive the Shelby in nice weather and always stored the car in a climate-controlled environment when not it use. It has been serviced and maintained from new (most recent service on May 17, 2012 with 11,872 miles) and is in excellent condition. Included are both sets of keys, all books, records, window stickers, etc. The Shelby GT was a joint venture between Ford Motor Company and Shelby Automotive. Base Mustang GT models were shipped from the Ford assembly plant in Flat Rock, Michigan to the Shelby facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The cars were then modified to Shelby specs including a full FR3 suspension kit (sway bars, dampers, strut-tower brace, and 1.5-inch lower springs) and the FR1 Power Pack (an additional 25 hp and 10 lb-ft of torque from a recalibrated ECU, cold air induction system and a performance exhaust system including an X-pipe). The Shelby GT was also given a 3.55 limited-slip rear end. Cosmetic additions included the 54U Appearance Package including the stripes, hood scoop, badging, hood pins, interior upgrades, etc. The completed cars were then shipped to Ford dealerships. The result is a much better handling, sounding, and accelerating car. The 4.6-liter V8 puts out 319 hp, resulting in a 0-60 mph time of 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 147 mph. The suspension upgrades make the Shelby handle far better with less understeer than a regular Mustang GT.
