Vehicle Detail
I know what you're thinking, man she is ugly. Only on the outside, most paint has been taken off down to original factory primer. California car since new and remained there until 2004 until I moved, garage kept since. No rust other than the super light stuff you see on a California car. Interior is mostly new. Seats, deluxe Door panels and carpet. Rest of interior is dyed black as it was that ugly brown. Motor is original to car minus heads and intake and fuel injection, but is fresh, if it has 500 miles on it since rebuild/upgrading I would be surprised. Motor has been completely gone through, bored slightly over, new pistons, balanced, Edelbrock smooth idle cam and Edelbrock pro flow fuel injection system with aluminum intake ($1200). Vortec Heads, aluminum high flow water pump, aluminum radiator (still have original) with electric dual 12" fans, etc. Has more than double the stock 165 horsepower now. Air conditioning, though not the original system, was original to the car and it is now the R134 standard. Power steering, power brakes, power windows. New slotted brake discs up front and Hawk performance pads all around. All brake calipers were replaced about 5 years ago. True dual exhaust 2.5" and flowmasters added about 8 years ago and it sounds very aggressive. Complete front end polyurethane bushing change and Eklers street and slalom suspension kit added. Now driving this car is a lot of fun, much more control then the way to soft original stuff. Bilstein shocks, front and rear sway bars, mono composite spring in rear, new coil springs in front. Adjustable to how you want it to handle. Like I said it was a world of difference for a $1200 suspension kit. Master cylinder was replaced as well as the brake power booster. Has the mirrored glass T Tops ($1100 new) that give more headroom and you can still see out looking up with them on, have the original tops as well. Where the TTops lock in it has taken some of the dye off the columns. New front and rear bumpers and mounting hardware. Rear is on, front is just on with the license plate holder, has new mounting hardware as well. Yes headlights work very well, high and low beam. Rear tail lights are LEDs, and are bright. After all, in a fiberglass car you want people to know when you hit the brakes. Tires are the best tires I have ever had on a performance vehicle they have 99.8% of their life left and hold the road like they are angry at it. Rear wheel bearings very recently replaced on both sides as well as U joints changed to ones with zirc fittings for easy greasing. Front bearings were repacked when slotted rotors where put on last year. Making this car all numbers matching again could be done easily as all the engine parts can be found on ebay, there are tons of this stuff out there. I have alot of the original parts, I have the original emblems for front of car and gas tank lid as well as the original CORVETTE letters for the rear bumper. minus the heads, intake, steering wheel and exhaust manifolds. I Even still have some of the original suspension parts that were taken off when the sport suspension was put on. I was not looking at keeping a 75 vette original because these cars in their original range of performance were about as dynamic as shooting pool with piece of rope. This car was made to be a dependable and sporty vette. Probably missed some of the work done but you get the point. Finish it your way and have a lot of fun with this one. I trust this car to drive to Canada and back if needed. TITLE IS CLEAR AND IN HAND ADDED PICS OF FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM What it needs: Weatherstripping all around. Minor fiberglass crack repairs that all these cars need after this long. Paint Original color was that metallic brown (yuk) Power steering pump is original and so are the lines to the proportioning valve, they leak some and just need to be replaced. Has new proportioning valve and lines from the valve to the steering piston. Dash lights do not work not sure if its bulbs or wiring. Tachometer is not accurate. Plastic backside seat covers Missing a screw here or there on the interior nothing major. Spare tire and mount
