I'm listing this for a friend. This BMW is model K 75 RS , it belonged to a local man who recently passed. The title is clear and open for the new owner. Here is what we know . The deseased man bought this from a friend who had left it sitting for a few years unused . He took it home , stripped it of all bodywork and glass work , had it repainted and then never put it back together. The bike shows 29,000Plus miles and I feel it is correct mileage. Last plate shows it was registered in 2008. The tires are shot , front from wear and the rear from rot. The bodywork was nicely painted , not perfect but quite good. The bike has been cleaned and some black parts retouched with fresh paint. So it looks very nice , maybe better than it is? I say this because we know very little about the over all condition. It is not running , the tank does not have fuel lines connected . We don't know much about how, this bike works, so we have not done much with it. But we hooked up a battery and the lights , ignition , turn signals , horn and other electric items seem to work fine. But that is all static, as it has not run except with the shot of either in the air box , which fired the engine for only a few revolutions. The bike is missing a few small parts . Not many. the gas cap is here but no screws to attache, probaly in the mans garage somewhere but they will not be availabel with the bike. The fuel pump is not in the tank or the mounting pieces for it, although the fuel pump is with the loose parts we have. Mainly what you have here is a very complete low mileage bike that has been a part for a few years and the body work was recently put back on by my freind , who knows nothing about BMW's. After the bike was stripped it was stored outside for quite awhile , so when we found it it was covered in dust and dirt, that has all been washed off and throughly cleaned . so once again it looks real nice but will definitely need work before it can go back on the road. We know it needs the screws for the gas cap, the mounitng for the fuel pump, I think the gas lines are there but not hooked up, may need the injectors cleaned? (really not sure ) . and the seat cover is shot, so that and tires will need replacing. This bike comes with the full original tool kit, some paper work shown and compplete manuals. So if you are looking for a fun project this might be it. Also the front brake lever has no resistance, maybe a bad seal or A CALIPER PROBLEM, BUT, ITS ALL THERE JUST DOESN'T WORK. I've tried to tell it like it is , and the bike is sold with NO WARRANTY , AS-IS . WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! Don't expect to hook up the fuel line and go for a ride , this has sat a long time and will need some serious fidling to get it usaable but the end result could be a nice low milage rider.
