I WILL BE HAPPY TO LISTEN TO REALISTIC OFFERS. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS WELCOME! THANKS AND GOOD LUCK! Please click on the video link at the top to hear this blown, injected Hemi monster come to life. Remember your ear plugs. You're going to need them. I can be reached at (76O) 8O5-8038. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! An authentic, untouched time capsule veteran from the Gasser Wars of the 1960s. It still has the shoe polish on it's original slicks from it's final race! I have numerous pictures and video of the car racing back in the 1960s. This is the Pat Stewart/Carl Costa 1941 Steel body Willys coupe. This is the coolest car I have ever owned. There are so many killer period pieces on this car it is hard to even cover them all. If you want a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a significant piece of racing history and a true warrior from the most interesting time in drag racing (at least in my opinion), THIS IS IT! The car was the cover car/featured article of Hot Rod Deluxe magazine in 2012. This was a Gasser that was mainly campaigned on the West Coast. It primarily raced at Fremont Raceway, which later became Baylands. It raced against all the legends including, Stone, Woods, and Cook, Mazmanian, K.S. Pittman, etc. It is a well known car that was lost for decades. It was retired after it's final race in 69 and stored in Pat Stewart's garage for about 40 years until he passed. Nobody really knew what happened to it. It made a one time reappearance after being specially invited for Fremont's final race in 1987 and then promptly disappeared again. The car is in as raced condition from it's final race in 1969. Original 41 Willys chassis and registered as a 1941 Willys. It has it's original (although recently freshened) 392 c.i. Hemi sporting it's original 6-71 GMC Blower and Hilborn four port injection system. The engine is .040 over, four bolt mains, counterbalanced crank, Mickey Thompson aluminum rods, M/T aluminum pistons, roller cam, gear drive, Mondello heads, and a Joe Hunt magneto. It is unbelievable. Torqueflite automatic. The Willys has a 1957 Oldsmobile rearend with 5.10 gears and a spool. It has finned aluminum Buick brake drums. Authentic Halibrand magnesium wheels with the same tires/slicks from 1969. The body is steel. Cal Automotive supplied the fiberglass doors, front fenders, hood, and decklid back in the early 60s. It still has it's original tow bar, light hook up, and California black license plate. It was registered for the street so Stewart could flat tow the car to the drags. Moon gas tank, original parachute, original grill. The interior is so cool it is ridiculous. It was done by Drake's Upholstery in the early 60s (they were one of his sponsors and famous in their own right). It still has the Drake's logo stitched into the seats. Untouched original Willys dash with the exception of the original Stewart-Warner tach, oil pressure, and boost gauges. Original Willys steering column and steering wheel. I will also include Pat Stewart's original helmet that he wore when he raced. The car is shown in the Jackson Bros. DVD collection The Gasser Files 1 & 2. It is really neat to watch. You would have an extremely difficult time finding another like it or one with history like this. It still retains it's original paint from back in the day. The patina is unbelievably cool and if you plan on changing a bunch of stuff on this car, well then I won't sell it to you. It deserves to be and will be preserved as a memory of the good old days. Thanks and good luck! ~TERMS OF SALE - non refundable 10% deposit due 24 hours after auction ends. Car needs to be paid for in full within 3 days. I will do everything I can to make this a pleasant buying experience but PLEASE do not bid on it if you do not intend to buy it or if you do not have your finances in order. Shipping is buyers responsibility but I will be happy to assist if you like. I encourage anybody who is interested to come look for themselves. I live in San Diego and would be more than happy to pick you up at the airport to view the car in person. I do my best to represent and describe things as honestly and as accurately as possible. Thanks for looking and good luck!On Mar-10-13 at 16:03:27 PDT, seller added the following information: Video of the Willys in action from the Gasser Files DVD.
