Vehicle Detail

The good...This is not my daily driver i drive it on some sunny summer days with the top down,(pic) in the winter for snow and deer camp(pic), and whenever else i like because its fun. But i cant put my 2 year old in it easily. This jeep is like family to me, but another new baby on the way so the jeep has to go. Everything I've ever had fixed on it was done at Richards Automotive in Barberton, Ohio. Including the last repair , a brand new $694 fuel pump on 2/28/13 including new fuel tnk straps.(see photo) and all the regular maintenance. As far as running, starting, driving, the jeep is perfect. The clutch is tight and it shifts great. Brake shoes done in summer of 2012. Tires are 30x9.5 r15 and have nearly all of their life left. the spare is exactly the same as the other 4. (Firestone Destination all terrain...see pics) the top is "besttops" and only two years old. It fits very tightly and has very few and very minor scratches. No tears, zippers are perfect, no discoloration at all. The four wheel drive is mechanical not push button and the four wheel drive works perfectly as if it were factory new. Serviced on schedule, along with everything else. The 98 has quadracoil, not leaf springs which makes it handle far better than earlier models and jeep says its less likely to roll over, and if you ever want to put a plow on it its cheaper than the leaf spring model. Jeep's straight 6cyl 4.0 motor is way stronger than the 4cyl and not much worse on gas. It's a great motor and absolutly purrs. It has full doors so that means roll up windows, if you've ever had the zip up ones you know how great this is! And yes they are still very easy to remove in the summer! Has the factory sound bar. And inside the rear hatch is a lockable trunk! Extremely awesome if your a hunter, but also awesome if you just need to lock up something valuable for a bit and a thief would need the jaws of life to get it out. Has trailer hitch (I've only used it to tow a folding bike rack) The title is clean and in hand and i will have it signed and notorized as soon as auction closes. The interior is as close to perfect as it gets. carpet in front seats has seen some mud and coffee though. seats are great and tear free. passes e check(pic). i bought it from a friend and am the second owner. he bought it new, and treated it well. so did I. The bad...One icy night I slid into a sign post and damaged the front left fender and plastic mud fender. The passenger side running board has been removed and I don't have it. The passenger door doesn't lock. There is no trailer electric (as I mentioned, I just used it for a rack but it is a full frame bolt on and will tow what ever you like). Rust....standard rust where every wrangler gets it...small patches near the door hinges, on the front fenders, near the gate hinges,on the mirror mounts none of the rust affects operation of any door. its just jeep surface rust. it's all in the pics. the aftermarket radio is crap, it works great but its no bose. the overall...this jeep runs awesome has damn near new tires and top, and looks pretty darn good. with a little love you could make it look great. Its great in the snow, fun in the summer and cheep on gas
