The 1985 transmission is geared a bit different and the improvement is noticable on the highway. I have owned about a dozen of these amazing cars. It is a low mile one lady owner car that is very near perfect in every way. The exterior is amazing and is laser straight. It is not a repainted car made to look nice rather a garage kept 28 year old classic that still shines. Take a look at the jack points on the car. Bone dry California car. Not a spec of rust anywhere. The mechanicals are absolutely perfect. It is the strongest CD I have ever driven. It was always serviced at Beverly Hills Limited on Wilshire Blvd. No expense spared. The AC is ice cold and the climate control works as it should which is very very rare. The tires are newer Michelins. There are no shimmies rattles or shakes. It runs as it did when new. The locks and all windows work as they should. The cruise control and sunroof also work perfectly. The miles are low and the car has always been pampered. The interior is also the finest I have ever seen. It shows no wear at all and the color is just amazing. The camera has a tendancy to show a difference in color on the seats that is hard to see. It is not noticalbe to the eye. If you are looking for a collector quality coupe this is it. It can be shown or driven daily.
