1965 Ford Mustang Coupe factory 289 V8 5 lug car 108,768 original miles with only one owner. The odometer reads 8,768, so I’m assuming it has rolled over once. This car looks to be mostly original. The 289 V8 is numbers matching and is complete minus some hoses and battery connections. The entire car is mostly complete including spare trim, weather stripping, and nuts and bolts. It has been sitting in a garage since 1990 and will need some work to get it running again. It is too clean and solid to part out, so it will make a great restoration project. 289 V8, automatic transmission, and power steering. The exterior looks to be in overall good shape. There is some rust at the lower end of the front fenders, a hole behind the driver’s side door, and some rust starting on the driver’s side lower rear quarter. These spots are all pictured. The interior is a little rough. The dashboard is cracked, but there. Factory knobs, buttons, and gauges are in place. Factory AM radio as well as a classic FM aftermarket radio. There are some aftermarket gauges as well, not sure if they work or not. The seats are there, but will need to be re-upholstered. The headliner is probably not useable and there is also no carpet. It will need floorboards as shown. The trunk pan and gas tank are good, but is rotten along the edges, also pictured. The engine bay is mostly rust free. The firewall, cowl, and strut towers are good. We have not tried to fire the engine, but it does turn by hand. Does not seem to be stuck or have any major problems. A quick rebuild at the most should be all it’ll need. The car will roll and steer freely without any issues. The tires hold air. They have like new tread, but are weather cracked from sitting. Spare tire is also included. Everything I have for this car goes with the sale. Every miscellaneous nut, bolt, spring, trim piece, weather stripping, extra factory air cleaner assembly, everything. It all goes. It is a very solid start to a project. Very hard to find factory V8 car that is this original and not hacked up. With a bit of time, it’ll be like new again. There is not title with the car. It has been in Massachusetts its whole life, so a title search should not be a problem through the state. The titling will be up to you though. It should not be a hard task with the state. This car is sold as is with no warranties expressed or implied. I can deliver the car for an added fee. You are more than welcome to come see the car in person prior to bidding. A $200 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The remainder is due in cash within 7 days of the auction end. The car must be picked up within 7 days unless prior arrangements are made. If the car is left here longer than the 7 days without other arraignments made, it will be subject to a $20 per day storage fee.
