Vehicle Detail

If you're looking for the ultimate sport bike, this is it! I'm in love with this motorcycle but am forced to sell it to pay for an upcoming move. If you're not familiar with the BMW K1300S, it features a water-cooled, inline 4-cylinder, dual overhead cam engine displacing 1293cc and rated to develop 175 HP (BEFORE the mods I have on my bike!). The long 62" wheelbase gives it much better behavior off the line (I can out-accelerate my buddy with the S1000RR since he continually lifts up the front wheel while the K1300S just stays planted and GOES!), and the powered shift-assist means you don't have to touch the clutch as you accelerate. BMW states that the top speed is "over 125 mph" -- I will just say that's a very conservative statement. The 4-cylinder engine is ridiculously smooth all the way through RPM range, with the red line at 11,000 RPM. As BMW's top-of-the-range sport bike, it has all the safety and convenience features: antilock brakes on both front and rear wheels, an electronic stability system, differential hydraulic brakes, electronic suspension control to adjust for comfort and load, tire pressure monitoring system, heated hand grips, and an auxiliary power outlet for heated riding gear or other accessories. This bike has been upgraded with a full titanium Akrapovic exhaust as well as a Power Commander V, giving it an extra 10-15 HP over stock. For trips, I've also added the BMW sport luggage set, which attaches or detaches in seconds and looks fantastic on the bike (unlike most bags for sport bikes!); the mount is basically invisible when the bags are off, keeping the bike clean and mean for everyday riding. The bike originally came with Metzeler Sportec M3 tires, but a few months ago, I upgraded to Metzeler Sportec M5s on front and rear: these are fabulous tires and show negligible wear. The bike is still covered by the factory warranty, and I've also got a tire and wheel policy which can be transferred to the purchaser as well. No damage whatsoever, never run on the track, never ridden in the rain, garage-kept its whole existence. New price just over a year ago was $20,000. Payment by cashier's check on pickup. Thanks for looking!
