Was used as daily driver from '08-'12. The engine is original and strong; many updates over the years, but no re-builds. I have all maintenance records. All told, I've spent about $8,000 on the vehicle. Driver's side window needs a new motor and mechanism. There is a perennial problem within the electrical connections between the ignition switch and starter. Wiggling the the gear shift between Park and Neutral does the trick. Tires new within last two years. New rear shocks. AC had been working well, but may need service.I took her off the road in August '12 to save money for the next one. Please contribute to my Vanagon fund! On Mar-03-13 at 14:07:23 PST, seller added the following information: Engine just started and ran very well on March 1st. I had been starting it weekly until late January when the battery drained. I charged it, and the van started up dandy-like. It kicked out quite a bit of moisture, so it looks like the exhaust may have some rust issues from condensation. I had the exhaust worked on about three years ago.
