Vehicle Detail
1982 Honda CB900C.She runs very good. Not completely stock, but mostly original. It has about 23,000 miles on it. When I got it, it had about 10,000. I have a old Jardine 4-1 exhaust, Dyno-Jet carb kit, K&N filter in the stock box, 8mm copper coil plug wires, petcock,2 year old Coil over rear shocks, a 1000c seat and rear fender, different handlebar. I have painted the fenders black, as well as a few other pieces. Anything that I have changed is not permanent, just bolt on stuff. The paint on the tank and sidepieces is original. I have owned this bike over 5 years. I am very fanatical about theese CB's. The only reason I am selling now is I have decided to quit riding for a while. I did not put more that 100 miles on it last year, and less than 500 the year before. I did change the oil and filter last spring. The battery is either very week or dead by now. The bike has spent alot of time in the garage collecting dust, and not being used. The last time I ran it, the starter acted like it would turn the engine over then spin and make a whirr noise. research told me the best thing to do is rebuild the starter.$50 kit is available on ebay. The tires have a few thousand miles left on them. The 4-1 is pretty loud. I will have alot of flexability if it sells on storage and pickup. Basically it is in my garage, I don't plow the property, there is some snow on the ground right now making moving it out a challenge. I will hold and store the bike with a $200.00 deposit. I will hold it for a while as long as we make some sort of arrangement for pickup. I know it is cold out now, but in a few weeks spring will be here. Any questions, please ask.On Feb-22-13 at 11:23:24 PST, seller added the following information: I am adding this after rereading my description. The petcock was new 2 years ago from Honda. The small windshield is an Airblade. I have some new fiberglass for the muffler, which should come apart. I have been running Iridium plugs. The bike is a little temperamental when cold. Anyone who has been around old CB's knows that. I take it real easy on it, gentle warmup period. She runs strong and pulls hard though on the road. I intended on keeping this 900 forever, but getting out of riding and back into old cars is now my thing.I may think of other things, but since I got the bike, I have been always tinkering with it and keeping it maintained. All other fluids should probably be changed, since I have not done them in 2 years. Oil was done last spring. On Feb-27-13 at 05:46:44 PST, seller added the following information: I want to add this about picking up the bike. First, it will sell. I set the reserve low because of the starter issue that is now I learn, not much of an issue. Plus the fact she needs a battery and has been sitting. Regardless, you are getting a hell of a deal here. Second, most important... My work schedule has me working 6 days a week, with only Thursdays off. I am done by 4:30 though each day. So pickup days would be any Thursday up untill 5pm, or after 5pm any day except Monday, Wednesday. I still require the $200 deposit via paypal. Keep in mind too that we are getting a snowstorm right now and the garage is snowed in. I have no way to plow it either... So flexibility in the picking up of the bike is the key word here. Thanks!
