Up for Auction is a Matte Black 1969 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. This thing is a beast with an Icon like front bumper with winch. This is a 350 Chevy conversion with power steering that growls down the road ready to eat anything in its way. A definite head turner when you drive by. A lot has been done to this Land Cruiser and it is so fun to drive with its large tires and reservoir shocks. Anyone buying this is going to get some fun use whether you are off road or cruising the streets. This vehicle has no problem on any type of terrain. It’s a tough one to part with. It has Front and Rear gas tanks for the longer trips (Rear Fuel Tank 22 gallons Front Fuel Tank 16.4 gallons). Life has just been busy and I find my time to spend having fun with the vehicle is becoming less and less. This needs to go to someone who can truly appreciate it and carry on the dream. For some history, I bought the car from someone out of Nevada in 2010. He said he ran search and rescue in the Mohave Desert in this vehicle and you need a reliable car to do that. The engine was rebuilt in Nevada with 25k miles put on it before he sold it to me and he finished it off with the black paint job. Has a custom cooler rack with jack mounted on the side. I have babied it and have definitely put on no more than 3000 miles (Speedometer wasn’t working at the time but the new one is). With the reserve set where I have it I will be letting go of this vehicle for less money than I have in to it. All maintenance was done at 0 miles on the speedometer including oil change, transmission and transfer case fluid change with rebuild, new spark plugs, rear main replacement, oil pan gasket replacement and new tires. Below you will find the work that has been put in to this FJ since I purchased it: Rebuilt transmission (Replaced all bearings including all needle bearings, reverse idler shaft, counter gear shaft, gaskets and seals. Also replaced all Gears and Syncros with a low mileage pull (<20k) in mint condition. Also replaced reverse idler gear. I used aacrossusa.com to ship vehicle from Nevada to TN. It was around 850 fully insured. I had no problems with them but you should do your own research in to a carrier you want to deal with.
