This is a very special truck - it was purchased by the original owner brand new off the show room floor while his then grandson accompanied him to witness the transaction. That was back in 1968, it is now owned by the grandson himself making this truck a single family owned vehicle (only 2 registered owners ever - the above named only). It has a clear title, has been garaged more than 3/4 of it's natural life and maintained regularly throughout. With only 108,000 original miles - I would have no problem stating that it is a reliable vehicle and runs and drives great. Like any classic vehicle, I would not recommend that someone purchase it and plan to drive to its new home over 1000 miles away without prior inspection by a certified mechanic. If a prospective buyer would like to set up an inspection at their cost, I welcome this and can make the truck available upon request. The truck has only manual steering and breaks and is not currently licensed but that is the extent of any issues that this vehicle has. Aside from the average wear and tear expected on a vehicle 45 years old, this truck is in remarkable shape both mechanically and visually. The body is in good shape and has very little surface rust and absolutely no through rust (cancer) anywhere on the truck to speak of. It has new tires and the radiator has been replaced in the last 5 years. It comes with the original AM radio, however, it also comes with a currently installed original 1st generation Sony Walkman in dash pull out stereo that converts into the first ever walkman radio. The truck was recently serviced, received a new fuel filter and given a clean bill of health by an ASE certified mechanic. It has never been in any major accidents but has been in one small fender bender in a parking lot - the damage was repaired immediately following. and was less than $500 damage. The upholstery is in excellent condition and is all original. This is a numbers matching vehicle that has been completely unmolested and was proudly owned, maintained and driven by a real man's man - both then and now.
