Vehicle Detail

This is a work in progress car! I have owned this vehicle since 1997 and can tell you pretty much everything that has been done to it since that time. In November 2011 I started the engine restore. Bay was stripped to metal and coated with SPI Epoxy then Bill Hirsch chasis black (two coats). Nearly everything in the engine bay is new. Less than 30 miles on engine. Engine is a 1986 5.0/302 block with 1993 GT heads (NOT the explorer 'p' series) and 5/16" rods. Car originally had a 289, reused the intake and exhaust manifolds. Has the Edelbrock AVS Thunder series 550cfm carb that has been custom tuned. Aluminum cross-flow radiator. Pertronix electronic distributor and coil. Completely stripped electrical from car and replaced with AutoWire from headlights to taillights with updated modern fusebox and wiring for electric fan. One-wire alternator. Still some quirks to work out with the electrical as I haven't finished. I had planned on replacing the gauges but this project has just worn me out. Mostly the interior electrical left and the hood turn signals. The car needs to go! I want someone to finish this project. It has a freshly rebuilt top-loader 4 spd tranny. If you are comfortable with body work, this car is just about ready to roll. The 5.0 has a roller cam and it puts you back in your seat. I have kept a list of parts that I have purchased since the start of the engine restore and I've put more than 200 parts into the car so far. I have all the part numbers for everything involved in the engine rebuild so you can know what was put in it without tearing it down. I can't even get into details on everything that has been done without writing a book. Just ask me. Near to $15 grand has been put into this car since I've owned it (not counting purchase price). As you can see by the pictures, there isn't much in the engine bay that hasn't been replaced. New steel brake lines, master cylinder, SPEC stage 1 clutch, chrome dress-up kit, restored heater box, new heater plenum, new heater cables, new window weatherstripping... the list goes on. Please feel free to contact me if you want more pictures and also please feel free to check out a youtube video of a cold start.
