Vehicle Detail

1972 International Travelall 1110, 4 speed manual, 2WD This truck is begging to be restored! There is virtually no rust anywhere and body is in such good condition it really won't take much to get it to look amazing. Even though it doesn't run, there is so much value still in this vehicle it would be a shame to let it go to waste. I bought the Travelall in Arizona 6 months ago intending to use as a daily driver and to eventually restore. After the purchase I put approximately $3000 into the truck in order to get it running properly and it was driving great until the engine blew. Apparently the radiator had been slowly leaking fluid so when I was on the highway one day the engine started to overheat and blow smoke. I had it towed to my mechanic and found out that 2 of the cylinders are not getting any compression and that the motor would need to be pulled out to diagnose the situation further. I wish I had more money to put into it, but I just don't. The Good: ALMOST ZERO RUST - This truck was originally purchased in Oregon but spent most of it's life in Arizona which is why there is almost zero rust. Other than some minor body work the body is straight, smooth, and solid. New tires - Hankook Optimo ... with less than 600 miles New fuel pump New air filter Brakes were inspected, adjusted, and stop great Rebuilt Carburator New custom exhaust Pair of original mirrors paid $179 Upgraded front grill - paid $300 The Not-So-Good: Engine needs to be rebuilt - no compression in 2 cylinders Needs radiator No back seat Rear gate handle is missing 1 window missing (plexiglass is in it's place) All in all this vehicle is a great starting point for restoration. I wish I could keep the truck but instead I hope to find somebody else who sees it's potential! On Feb-09-13 at 16:32:29 PST, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that the truck does not have A/C and the heater is not working These items are not seen in the photos but will be included with the truck: Driver's side mirror (original) Original grill A big pile of paperwork including original purchase order, service records, manuals, etc. Just to be clear- The truck has not had any body work. There are minor dents and dings but nothing major.
