It is ALL STEEL. It has been a frame off restoration. This car has the look. Ones like this are getting nearly impossible to find. There are plenty of fiberglass cars available, but real steel Willys rarely become available and ones like this are even rarer. It is a solid lifter 427 c.i. big block Chevy with Edelbrock aluminum heads. It has an Offenhauser dual quad intake that not only works well but also adds to the vintage 60s Gasser look. It has a handmade Ram Air setup that needs a couple of small pieces to finish and is a trick piece but it is fine without it as well. With approximately 500-550HP, of course it runs very strong and is very fast. Hughes Turbo 400 automatic with approximately 2800 stall converter, Franklin QuickChange rearend with 3.73s and Dutchman axles, four wheel power disc brakes. Full exhaust but it also has cutouts if you choose to run open headers. It sounds wicked. Huge Ron Davis aluminum radiator with dual electric fans make sure it runs around 180 degrees always. The body is rust free. It is not perfect but it is very solid and much nicer than most I have seen. It currently is in primer which is how I prefer it, but it is ready to be blocked and painted. I have the chrome trim for the sides, as well as the cowl vent. The undercarriage is extremely clean and well done. Stock frame that has been boxed. It has a pretty trick steel tilt front end. It flips up and slides about an inch forward. Unlike most, it has not had the fenders cut for the tilt front. Roll bar with removable side bars. It still retains the stock dash and has Autometer gauges cleanly mounted above. The interior has been Dynamatted. I have all the carpet for the inside. Original Americar steering wheel. New side glass that roll up and down easily. Fuel cell mounted in the trunk along with dual batteries. It is registered and titled as a 1941 Willys Coupe. This is not a thrown together piece of junk hot rod. It is a well thought out and well done all steel Willys Gasser. This is a wicked car that is the favorite at every car show or cruise.
