Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 2002 Porsche 996 that we just finished repairing. When we purchased this car from the auction is was previously lightly damaged in the right front. Items replaced include the right fender, right headlight and front bumper cover. Both headlights and the rear bumper were missing from the auction when we purchased the vehicle so those items were replaced but only the right headlight needed replacement due to the accident. There was no frame damage to the vehicle. We painted the entire vehicle because the paint is actually a metallic color called Porsche Basalt. Because it has a pearl metallic in it, it would be incredibly hard to but match the panels so the car was prepped (mirrors, handles, mouldings removed) and painted. The car has H&R lowering springs and later model 19inch wheels (Lobster Claws). They finish the car nicely. This porsche has Navigation and Suede headliner and has the Bose option. At the time when the car came back from paint and was finished being assembled, I took it out for a test drive and the Air/Oil separator went bad (go figure, but common issue). So since we were replacing the AOS valve we went ahead and replaced the IMS (intermediate shaft bearing) with a LN engineering bearing, spark plugs, water pump and thermostat. We can provide all receipts for the items. The engine and transmission were cleaned before being reinstalled in the vehicle. This vehicle runs and drives excellent and will give the buyer a very nice vehicle for years to come. If you have any questions regarding the work we performed or anything I have not covered please let us know. This vehicle has a California Salvage Certificate. If the vehicle is purchased by someone outside of California, this Certificate, a bill of sale and an itemized parts and repair list will be provided so registration in another state will be easier. If the vehicle is purchased in the state of California, we are required to turn the California Salvage Certificate in to the Dept. of Motor Vehicle and they assign the vehicle title an acquisition number (process takes approximately 7-10 days). This number has to be written on a bill of sale. With the bill of sale and the necessary safety inspections (brake, lamp and smog), the customer will be able to register the vehicle in California. If the vehicle is sold to a California buyer, we will have the inspections done and provide the certifications to the buyer. We can provide transport quotes if you send us your information also.
